I'm pissed because we have a really good player in Lomax, whether he is x or y is not the issue. We have a threat to his continuance here and nothing through this blog has been anything but a disparaging insult to him after making a decision 12/18 months ago to come.
People have called him the "C" word and a number of other things....just isn't called for yet!
Well i said it not to degrade him i said it as news towards Parramatta. I mentioning calm to the cap space and Pezet and being too nice etc.
I did not say anything negative about the situation, simple the news given. Didn't say anything in terms of defaming him. Once information is there people can perceive it how they see fit. Does it give some ammo? Sure but the intent was not for that. It was to inform of possible news and what is happening. Half cooked is wrong word to use as i believe my information at the moment to be correct. Doesn't mean it will end up that way but at the moment i stand by it. So far, it has delivered in some form.
If he is not injured, Parramatta would still put out a post about the injury and saying he will be back for pre-season as that's their job as a professional outfit. I told my mum and she showed me the post by Parra about his injury and said why are they hiding the truth and not throwing him under the bus. I said because they have professional intergrity at stake. They have not released Lomax yet and could release him on good terms and we benefit in the future. Why burn bridges now when he has, by all accounts, been upfront to the club about his position? If he burns bridges that is on him but doesn't mean we should. It is the same if someone in a job does something bad or leaves they say they are on a leave of absence or something like that.
If the club did not address the injury many would say what is going on.
I agree, i hate people that just berade players for getting a great opportunity, calling names etc. Same with Brown, many calling him the $13mil man when it wasn't his fault he was offered that. At the end of the day is it not what you are worth it is what you negotiate. Though also like how you said yet at the end as time still needs to unravel and see how he handles himself.
Lomax is a champion giving up his kangaroos jersey so he can concentrate on the eels.
