                  • Xfactor is different for every team not just a certain trait.

JWH I'd say he's an xfactor player not because of performance necessarily but because everyone follows a guy like him going into battle. He leads from the front and every foward pack needs an alpha.

Does he do all the flashy stuff no he doesn't does he have an effect on the scoreboard no he doesn't but do fowards and everyone else look across the dressing room and he lifts confidence within the team xfactor.

Too much is made of what xfactor actually means because it is a broad discussion just not in the highlight box like everyone wants it to be.

One thing I'll say and this isn't mentioned if you go to 16 nrl coaches outside of JR and ask what they think of Lomax I think then you get a more definitive answer of what Lomax really is as a player and if he has the mentioned.

        • And yet Parra won't be one of the those clubs poaching our NZ schools. I'm not one to go on a club knocking but it is true. Roosters would, Storm will, Dogs even may have a look. Brisbane as well. We won't and we should.

Like you've beat the drum of for a while, look at bloody Fiji and those comps.

          • Parra should though you go an unearth talent where you can take the gloves off use all avenues at your disposal.I mean when in Rome. The Dogs are Melbourne do.If you want competitive advantage leave no rock unturned.

            • Look at the Warriors at the moment, their pathways are buzzing, not all can play for the Warriors. Same as not all Union plays can play for the all blacks.

You live in NZ, why is the awe for AB dying off?

              • Yep my coaching friends agent is best friends with Cameron George and they make no bones about it the warriors are actively scouting NZ first 15 competitions looking for talent.

The awe is dying off because this generation and the one past have so many different options to make a living.Kids now can't go anywhere without a screen with in grabbing distance and you've got to force it on them to get a way from them. The awe is dying off because if you don't make top sides or aren't identified early kids just go elsewhere or aren't or lose interest.Hence less numbers unlike in years past basically. The game doesn't look at late bloomers and if you don't make academies the clubs where all the numbers are don't get the adequate development resourcing to compete and it makes it harder for kids in that window to get to the next one and the gap gets bigger and bigger lessening there opportunities.

Super Rugby needs to go disbanded for good and the provincial competition our strength needs to be our shopfront.Plumb the Super money back into the clubs and the above mentioned as then we get more talent to look at and a more efficient spend.

  • What will happen lomax will go the r360 will last 12 months and get canned. Then nrl will buckle at the knees and allow lomax back who will probably sign a big contract with the Perth bears or dolphins and once again parra will get fucked over

Parra need to say fuck off zac honour your contract

    • See that's what I am saying, we are going to get bent. Watch him go to roosters after this comp fails, so fucking done with the NRL. Us as a club are too nice we have no guy or grit to tell this lowy cunt to sit down and what makes no sense is how the fuck we have no cap money for pezet who the fuck are these people running this so call Broncos of the west. Moe, Lenny and Homer jeeeez.

  • Lomax is a champion giving up his kangaroos jersey so he can concentrate on the eels.

    • LOL

  • There's no way the 360 model can be sustainable but with the money being offered to Lomax it will be bloody hard to say no.

Breaking it down (if rumours are true), he is being offered US $1M/year (tax free) to play

Thats $1.5M AUD-tax free-which is more than 3 times what he is currently receiving after tax currently.

If he's playing on the wing in union he "might" do 5 runs a game and potentially extend his career by several years.

Its bloody hard to say no to but very hard to see this going beyond 1 season
