For the more savvy legal eagles on the site, what does this mean and does it implicate the Storm as it proves they engaged in illegal dealings with a player under contract?
Not only is this looking real bad for them, it looks increasingle poor optics for Lomax who showed little regard for the contract's worth and value not only with Parra, but also the NRL.
It would be nice to see a little backbone here by the NRL and not screw over Parra for doing the right thing by the player, even though Storm and Lomax look Guilty AF.
Bring in the Integrity Unit for this one and buckle up, I think we're going to see even more shady shenannigans.

The NRL just updated their anti-tampering laws, too. If Storm tampered, regardless of whether the new laws do or do not retrospectively apply to Storm tampering, from a public policy perspective doesn't it leave V'Landys only one option: we don't like tampering, Melbourne tampered, therefore . .. ???
Or will V'Landys give the big clubs a free pass?
It will be a slap on the wrist for Melbourne, but if a lowly team tampers, they'll throw the book at them. The NRL are so predictable.
But remember, to Storm fans they are the victims in the media. Despite the fact channel 9 had Billy Slater on the GF telecast and said "4x premiership winner" acknowledging cheating comps count.
NRL will do nothing to Melbourne, they will keep it hush and take over from there either by dealing with a fair trade or compensation to hush us or just allowing Melbourne to move on quietly.
Something else, that literally changes the whole thing.
With Documents that now prove Lomax had signed with R360 before getting a release from the Eels and
V'Landys NRL introduced a new rule that states 10 year ban for Player and for Player Agents signing with R360.
Thats game over. The NRL must now sanction Lomax with the 10 year Ban as well as Schifcofski and his Partner Gillis.
Lomax plays for no one till 2036. Isn't that what's supposed to happen now. The NrL should have already come out and stated they have opened an investigation into Lomax, shouldn't they.
They wont, we all know they wont as R360 are no threat. Issue will come if R360 does get going in 2028 after the RWC and is serious. V'Landys probably thinks since it died down that is it, there for since they are not a threat on NRL players fair game.
If he played for Storm and we wanted him though.....
Is anyone else noticing the media slowly shifting to help the NRL and storm strong-arm us. Many of them are starting to say how going through the courts is going to hurt us and isn't a good look because we are depriving the game of Lomax?
I hope we fuck over Lomax and the Storm to be honest but do have a feeling the NRL will try to get us back by having refs rule 50/50 calls against us amongst other things
Yep, i have seen the sudden shift of "Good on Parra, they should fight this" to "It sucks but move on".
That is why i recently love listening to the likes of Willie Mason and Dan Ginnane who tell it like it is.
There could be pressure from Lomax and his camp to get something done if 10 year ban is on table since it seems he had signed with R360. Now Melbourne might just brush their hands and move on, or they will talk the talk, be stubborn and get him and try and win a comp and say "See!!! got one over you". But could there be a chance that Melbourne feel pressured from Lomax and someone from Melbourne is talked into making their way over.
Of course, you wouldn't want a player forced to come here but if you allow Parra to talk to players they could be convinced. Example Howarth, chance to be a back-rower by the end of 2026, plus instead of $500k salary he could get $650k. Just an example spit balling. He could think "Yeah, that's a good deal".
