Just now Anasta on fb doubled down on yesterday saying he knows 100% that Lomax is being offered 3 million dollars a season to jump to 360.
I now believe that Anasta being Pezet's manager is in the loop because Pezet may be coming to Parra using Lomax's money. Anasta is probably softening the blow by announcing this now, because 3 million is a crazy amount to knock back. And Anasta is very close to Jason Ryles .
Ryles has said hes seriously considering the situation, and may let Lomax go.

Then add the extensions that took place; Kautoga, Smith, Samrani, Papali'i, Tuivaiti, Penisini, Volkman, Mataele.
Out of them, the ones who extended with having no deal for 2026 were Penisini, Mataele, Tuivaiti and Volkman. Now the others could have had their 2026 deals upgraded to get the 2027 deal over the line. Each re-signing could have an extra $100-200k to the salaries.
But what was not included there either was Gutho and RCG deals. Their salaries were large, no deal for 2026 meaning no over lapping payout. With their two salaries we should have an extra $1.5 mil at least. Did we pay any of the players we let go out? Yeah I think we have some money but none surely for 2026, considering they were off our books in 26'.
In that case I think we should have some room. Before Matto going we should be able to right now sign Pezet.
We have 28 players signed for 2026, including Hands, Matto and Simonsson/Lomax. we could have enough to fill the last 2-3 spots with nobodies but signing Pezet would leave us with nothing for next few spots? But even then I am not sure how it works. Particularly with Iongi yet to be extended and his extension would be the most by a mile when comparing first deal total to gross of new deal.
Just because Guth and RCG only had one yr left on our contract it does not necessarily mean that we did not offer to subsidize them for 2yrs to stop them signing their PO's and get them the fuck off of our roster

I don't know TDS' NRL contract value. Why do we assume he's on 650K pa?
IF he were, he'd probably be in our top 4-5 highest paid players up there with Lomax. Steep for his level of experience.
That being said, 400K is an average NRL contract figure. 140K is the base/min.
If you do a spreadsheet of our top 30 players, you'll find 650K doesn't make a lot of sense. Not saying it's impossible, but it seems less likely. It's probably more a number thrown around as it makes for a decent sized poo ball.
I agree to a point, but with new teams, why would he sign a middling long contract. Prices for good players are gonna rise hard. He seems a confident type. Sign here for 2 or 3, get some 1st grade in(why he left tigers), level up and profit...If he signed for $450 till 29 he is playing it super safe...Maybe....but $600 would make it make sense
Agree , sounds a bit low to be signing a long deal . 650 makes some sense from a players perspective. There were a couple of other desperado clubs like us chasing him too wasn't there?
He was already on a good wicket at the tigers too wasn't he? None of it adds up to $450k till end of 29..... $650k for TDS feels really steep, like we would be showing a lot of faith or Ryles is super cocky about his ability to develop players.
If it is $650k, he has to pan out for us or it will hurt us. I hope he does
