Anasta didn't say "pezet is looking to win a comp" for nothing. He knows Ryles is cooking some good things and signings.
Lomax is a big loss however I think the club has done the right thing here. The constant contract sagas at the start of our seasons over the years has been very frustrating and harmful in my opinion. DB, Gutho, Moses and the Lomax saga had the potential to drag on through next year. This has been very decisive from the club and allows us to just get on with the job at at hand without distractions (will he or won't he). Who we replace him with? I don't know but I doubt Ryles is losing too much sleep over it, he will come up with a plan if he hasn't already and move forward
Back breaker this one I never thought we were going to do to much this year and I thought 27 was the point we were building too but Jesus h Christ god knows what the recruitment retention and development plan is but those juniors they have extended need to HIT if they don't with the lack of signing elite talent I just don't see how this side can progress.
Any sought of injury to key guys that sees them out for any time and it's season done the quality of depth just isn't there an d it tells me how steep the hill really is that we have to climb here.
Ill say this now JR gets a pass results regardless next year.
Agreed. There's no silver lining here. Lomax is a NSW and Australian player. There's no replacing that on the open market. Our back 5 is paper thin.
That is true about our depth. Simonsson was our main back-up for both Centre and Wing. Now all we have is Samrani for Centre. We have Richie as a Wing/Centre yet to debut, Tago as a Winger is average. Nobody else and no kids really coming through.
Doesn't just make our back 5 weaker but our depth too.
Well my mail was right to start with. Oh well, it is a loss but at the same time we want players who want to be here. Let's not sugar coat it, this is a loss for us, he made us better. But all we can do now is move on and see who else presents themselves.

Well to be fair unless you sign outside of the organisation, anyone in the organisation is a downgrade. If they weren't they would be starting.
Great news, maybe Moses will pick his kicking game up now that he hasn't got his bum chum and kicking perdictable high balls to him all the time. As for yardage he made fuck all post contact mtrs in the games I saw and Baily at his best would match him though centre is his best position.
