Loko and other rehab whores

Just got back from overseas....when the heck did we lose LOKO?

Thoughts? He was costing heaps and showed little.

Lets consider the shit rehab whores we've had over the years.

Willie Tonga
Lee Mossop
Jacob Loko
Justin Poore
Shane Shackelton

Imagine if we invested in other players. Total different ball game

  • That's the gamble you must take with recruitment and retention.

  • Injuries are part of league happens to every team
  • Loko will be laughing all the way to the bank
  • Shackleton got a very bad injury whilst playing for us. Can't blame him for not coming back as good as we expected.

Poore was a dud, but at the time we signed him he was a nsw prop

Tonga was a rep player when we signed him unfortunately got injured playing for Australia and was poorly managed by the club.

Loko had potential but has knees made of glass.

Time will tell on mossop I'll give him 1 more chance.

Its a gamble signing players you can never predict how it will work out. Potentially if peats gets injured again or takes a while to recapture his form he could be added to your list really hope that doesn't happen. That's sport injuries happen.
  • 5% retention / recruitment.

    5% fitness / training.

10% doing the background research of players (Mossop).

    80% luck.

You think of the players the dwogs have bought off us and they haven't exactly set the world on fire.

"Conditions make this game more even than we think. Control the ball; decent tackle efficiency and get to the kick and be patient. That's the key. The Fins have a balanced halves pairing too. Don't underestimate them. We should win by less than 8"
