Before we nane our line up, the eels website says Richie (played 40min of Flegg), Hawkins, Dunster and Lane are back next week. Will Matto and Moretti be good for next week too? There was no NSW Cup even to elevate good performing players.
- Iongi
- Russel
- R Pensini(highly doubt this happens cause of his match fitness. In trials he showed how physically strong he is in defence. However, I recon Ryles goes Tago/Samrani)
- W Penisni
- Lomax (I think he needs to be on the wing till JAC or Simmo return)
- Brown
- Hawkins
- Paulo
- Smith
- Joe O
- Williams (again no quality edge options available)
- Matto (unfortunately until Gideon is ready, and perhaps Latu kills it in cup, we just need Matto to help tackle hard)
- Hopgood
- Hands (got benched early)
- Moretti
- Tuivita
- Lane
Cup

Not sure Matto will be fit but if he is maybe Guymer out. But i think Tuivaiti earned his spot next week.
Yep Tuivita earned his spot thats for sure. Do we throw Lane back into the backrow. I got no clue what to do with our backrow options. They are just pathetic.
I don't think we have much choice but to put lane on an edge, for the short term at least, we simply can't pick tuilagi in first grade.
That's our problem all of our back row options aren't good enough laterally to defend there. We have to start winning some battles in the middle to help this issue out.I'd even consider moving Hopgood to an edge.
See ya browny. Buy 2 second rowers with his money.
True but we open up a huge hole when he leaves so we fix one hole and create another.
Our packs a huge worry as you can see the game plan to expose it is there as we don't win the ruck with the wrestle or collision allows the ruck speed and little men behind it kill our edge defense. It was really impressive to watch by Melbourne today.Ruck speed is everything but when you see them winning the collision so easily I was like man we are done and we had no answers.
Don't think I've seen a more impressive absolutely slick fast paced start by any team than what we were up against in Melb tonight. Really believe they would've blown away most sides with that perfect display of a start...of course only took fifteen minutes to put our newby team severely lacking in areas to be put into a comatose state from it. Well, at very least we know we have lots of work to do. Or lots of buying along the lines of Melb style second rowers would be a good start!
Thought Riley our development player was our best.
Dylan had one of his least effective games for mine. Honestly wonder if he can't handle all of the noise. Rarely see him miss tackles but today was one of the times he did too.
Dead right Macy they were deadly and it's what you expect from a Bellamy coached team the master schooled the apprentice in a no contest.
The issue I have the most is now teams have film on how to expose us and people hate that win the collision line but look what Melbourne did off the back of it today.Grant Hughes Munster and Papenhyzen had a damn field day so if Parra want to improve more there is just no way around it we need to improve in the middle before anywhere else.
Which players at the club do you like Coryn?
