Les Dary, Phar Lap And Jarryd Hayne Part Three

Later I took a gamble. A one chance in a thousand to come off gamble. I wrote a letter to that short- wave radio station in San Francisco fully realising that it was no longer in existence and had probably shut down years earlier. I sent the letter off and promptly forgot about it. About six weeks later I received a reply to my letter! The writer explained that it was a wondrous coincidence that he had received the letter. The Postman who delivered the letter to him realised that the radio station no longer operated so he dropped the letter into him knowing that he had some connection to Amateur Radio. In fact he belonged to a group of enthusiasts who were restoring old radio stations. Amazingly, they were at time restoring the very radio station I was interested in! By this time he had looked for the information the HMAS Sydney broadcast that I was interested in but could find no record of it. He would continue to look for that information and would send it on to me if it could be located. No luck there. He told me something , however, that was interesting. They had found one station log book. He explained that the last entry in that log book occurred on the night before Pearl Harbor--that would be 6th December 1941. He then explained something that i have never revealed before to anyone. He wrote : "You will appreciate that, that last entry has some very interesting information." He said no more. You do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise that some American knew something about Pearl Harbor the night before the Japanese attack. This contradictory to all the official history of Pear Harbor!  He invited me to come to America and to discuss  HMAS Sydney and radio station about which I knew a little. I could never make that journey.

The generosity of the people of San Francisco shines through in all of this. Jarryed Hayne will be well looked after and, may in fact, be a little spoilt!

I had to do this in three parts. i apologise for that. I broke all the laws of physics and computer science to get this far. There must be a better way.

  • I also am very interested in history, both modern and ancient. Be interesting to find out what message said on 6 December 1941. USA and UK had broken Japanese codes, UK definitely knew about attack, and no reason to believe that USA also did not know. Roosevelt was fighting loosing battle to get his country involved so maybe this was a means to achieve that. Very high risk strategy and certainly, if true, would cloud his presidency and reputation as one of America's finest presidents.

    •  Glenn Lifetime Eel: You put in a nut shell! Could not be said better. It`s one of many regrets, one has, that I never made to San Francisco to read that 6 th December 1941 message. The US has had about 10 or more official enquires into Pearl Harbour. They were all politicised one way or another. The Republicans wanted to prove that Roosevelt did know about the coming attack. The Democrats, equally, wanted to prove that he did not know. The official view is, still, that he did not know. The History Channel a few weeks ago claimed that the Americans had broken the Japanese Naval code JN 25 and knew that an attack was going to occur but did not know where it was to occur. If true, the History Channel does not bother with a thing called evidence !!, its a massive backdown from what has been official policy since December 1941 and may give some credence to my revelation about the 6 th December 1941 message.
