I’ve been seeing a few blogs and comments here and there that always say something along the lines of “we need to win by this margin to go this position on the ladder”
The Eels currently sit in 6th on the table, with 9 wins and 20pts, at this stage last year we sat 16th, with 3 wins and 8pts.
Is it just me or is it okay to be happy in the 8 at the moment and would be grateful to be in the 8 at the end of the season after being dead last in 2018.
I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I’d honestly just be happy to play finals in 2019 & give it a real shake at the premiership in 2020.
And no this isn’t me “settling for just the standard” this is me just being happy with where we are as a team currently in comparison to 12 months ago. Obviously I’d love to go deep into September come finals time, but I’d just be happy to be there after last year.
What are your thoughts??

One step at a time
it is not a mater of being happy with any particular finals result
but concentrating on the winning the next game and improving each game
Poppa, we are 3rd in points scored behind only Melbourne and Easts. Remember the Tigers in '05? They leaked a heap of points, but their mantra was 'doesn't matter how many we let in, as long as we score more'. I think Parra should adopt the same mindset and play with the same level of randomness that the Tigers did that year.
I’m with you mate. Let’s get behind our guys. The effort was there against the tigers. Plenty of strong tackles without any filthy tactics.
I think we are a team that can finish 5th or 6th. We might make Week 2 of the finals at best. I'd say we are well off the pace compared to a full strength Souths, Easts or Melbourne side.
Honestly ? I would rather dream of winning the premiership this year and assuming it does not happen , then I will repeat same dream next year . Every year is a chance , Stephen Bradbury proved that .
2017 we had a weapon in Semi and could score from anywhere, then when Moses came we were on fire.We may have a better team on paper now but there just seems to be something missing. Not sure what it is but it will be the thing stopping us from top 4 if we don't find it soon.Happy with the improvement but yes I want a premiership goddammit.
Still waiting on the return of Jennings, and Waqa Blake. We all know the damage they can cause running back infield.
Eggman I agree, BUT that thing we are missing will be playing centre in a few weeks can’t wait to see what Blake brings to this team.
But in saying that, if Knights beat Roosters next week by 50 and we beat Manly by 20 then we are top 4 yýyyyeeeeèeeeèewwww!!!
LOLLLLL Fuck your funny idiot Sluggy
