  • Yep it will be whether he wants the money from Roosters which is very likely or play for the team he supported as a kid in Paramatta but are also in a rebuild.

    • Are we all forgetting Roosters are favourites for DCE? Not saying he is guarenteed to go there or Roosters wont go for Galvin instead but DCE has been heavily linked to the Roosters for weeks now, with other clubs pulling out going for him.

If he wanted money i think he would have stayed at Wests.

    • roosters wont deal with moses

  • I personally cannot see him staying at the tigers in 2026. It does not make sense for Tigers. Since they are not a premiership threat it would make sense to release him and develop Luai and Fainu combination in the halves. Galvin will be an eels or rooster in 2026. My prediction is Roosters

    • Unless Roosters get DCE. Which I think happens as DCE apparently wants to stay in Sydney, his family are settled in Sydney.

Galvin not gonna get a better offer than the Tigers one so more to it. If he goes to Roosters it's not for money it's success.
If to Parra it's to go back to club he supported as a kid.

If we manage to secure Galvin, that helps us recruit in the future.

    • They're more of a premiership threat than the Eels currently

  • Said it before...

    done deal

    • Done deal for who wheres he going?

      • Done deal at Eels. Don't be silly.

    • If it's a done deal then it's against the NRL rules for contract negotiations and they would be in their rights not to accept the contract when it is put to them.

I get that this time it's drama for the Tigers, but these players agents really need to be stopped. I get Galvin is talented, but do we really want another drama machine at the club to put us through more of the Brown, Gutho et al show every year when they play media fun with their contracts to try and boost up their prices?

The way he's handled this with the Tigers has been poor and the unsettled situation he's put them in is an even longer time than Brown did for us.

Talented kid. But playing media games this early in his career makes me want to steer clear.

"How? The kid has never played 6 other than Tonga U18's. Pretty much every good Fullback has skills that can translate to 6, Tedesco looks like it, Pap has those elements too. If you have a good pass on you and can run those are skills needed for a…"

"As much as I would love to see Cobbo at Parra, I wouldn't be moving Iongi from the fullback role to accommodate him.
Also, if we can get Galvin from next year, I can't see any reason why we wouldn't regardless of who his manager is.

Clintorian replied to Frankie Fong's discussion AN ALTERNATIVE TO GALVIN
"I'd be sticking with Iongi at FB and Galvin for 5/8. We all know his manager is ruthless, and it's clearly just a ploy to get him it of his final contract year.
I'd have Cobbo on the wing, but I prefer Iongi at FB because of his ball playing ability."
