Despite 1 eyed eel saying that the talent was there against Manly, I have to point out that if we were all to make a judgement on what was Haynes best performance of the year to date, I think we could all agree that his control of our attack was by far the most effective against Manly, COINCIDENTLY when KK was not there. Humble was the 6 and even though didnt dominate as a half, would I be wrong in saying that he played a very similar role to that of Robson last year, providing either as a linkman whenever Hayne demanded the ball, or finding a backrower on the edges of the ruck that would try to poke his nose through the line getting a quick play-the-ball, then getting right out of the action and letting Hayne take advantage of the forward momentum? Also, has anyone picked up that Haynes dominence of the NRL, (NOT the entire Parramatta squad) started shortly after KK broke is jaw last year?
Coincidence? Who knows, but the evidence is glaring. I have previously written that we should not rush the signature of KK as he has not proved himself to be the long term playmaker. We already have a youngster in the "development" stage (Morts) even though he is currently playing poorly, but KK is NOT the answer at the moment. There is no doubt too many captains trying to run the ship are guiding us straight to the bottom of the ocean. Even when we beat the doge, KK was getting in Haynes way. YES, he had a good game, and we got the points, but if he played poorly that night, Hayne wouldnt have had the opportunity to get us out of trouble because KK continues to get in there before him causung the play to break down. He's not consistent and most weeks, he just keeps Hayne from getting valuable possesion in good attaking zones. There is little doubt that Ando thinks Hayne is his long-term 6, otherwise we wouldve signed KK by now and he wouldnt have given Hayne first crack last year. Whether Humble can do the job, I think is yet to be really tested, but I dont see why it isnt time to pull the trigger and make the following changes that may not be the LONG TERM answer, but may be good enough for 2010 glory;
Burt fullback, Hayne five eighth, robbo half, morts at hooker (Not mature enough yet to run a team but may be destructive for now coming out of there), inu I guess holds his spot on the wing (Not with any great confidence) and humble/KK to the bench. MATT Keating can go to Cronulla for all I care.
Maybe thats a lot of changes, but the main point of this blog is Hayne at second reciever in attack all the time regardless of if he's playing fullback or five eighth, and KK not to be starting and most definately NOT to be re-signed. Any thoughts?

You still need a half to p his hand up and run the ruck and hopefully provide a bit of thrust as well. Based on this years performances Kris has shown himself more capable of doingn that than Morts.
