Parramatta-bound Kieran Foran is the latest superstar to withdraw from New Zealand's upcoming tour of England. "He has a ligament in an elbow that has been giving him trouble since the start of the year," Foran's agent, Paul Sutton, told Set of Six. "He went to Parramatta for a look at it and they thought it was best that it was seen to." An official announcement is anticipated this week. The withdrawal of Foran surely means St George Illawarra's Beni Marshall will get a call-up but the fact Foran has been struggling with it for the whole season - and played on - raises serious questions about the primacy of international football. Other star withdrawals inclide Manu Vatuvei, Shaun Johnson, Jared Warea-Hargreaves and Thomas Leuluai.

  • Love it!
  • Excellent decision KF :)
  • New injury management staff doing well.
  • Awesome stuff, we need Foz all rested up, there could be nothing positive for us to come out of him going on a tour to England in the off season, great news all round.

    • That's a good thing. The earlier that he feels part of the place, the better. Good to read that he's already consulting Parra staff.
    • Having a new player into the team training asap is a good thing. Even more important since he is a playmaker.
  • Sounds like foran is preparing for a big year with us next year. Sounds Iike he's a real professional. Just what we need.
  • that's good new Kieran pulling out

  • Apparently this is all a prank to play on the new kid. They sent him out looking for some Elbow Grease, and he hasn't returned yet.
  • He would probably rather stay and get a full pre season with his new club to have the best possible start.

"only really worry this season is our outside back yardage. Lomax was one of the best in that regard and people also don't remember that Brown gave us an easy 150m a game from 5/8 which will be hard to replace this year
