Maybe but he was involved in most tackles so that's only natural. He'll get strong over time and miss less.
There are two ways of reading that because he may have his tackle busted but, he will have slowed the ball player down for the forwards to finish him off. In my opinion, if he stunts the oppositions run, he's done his job.
Got to be happy with Kaysa's tenacity and attrition rate for now ! His missed tackles should be gauged by what effect cause on ball runner !
Was Steve edge a cam smith ?
Kaysa leaves it all on field and it was
good to see a kick from dh as this is what Parra has lacked shhh ! Well done Kaysa the team is better for your courage !
Go PARRA great win !!!!!
I was going to write a blog about Kaysa but will just write in here.
I think Kaysa has gone from strength to strength all season. Every game he has played this season has been better than the last and I think he has copped a lot of unfair criticism for a hooker that is so young and that was playing behind a fairly poor team. Confidence is infectious and as soon as one person gets some and can sustain it for a little while, it usually spreads like a wild fire. That is what is happening at the moment.
Now that the Eels have got some back, they are all playing like world beaters. Especially Kaysa. I have really liked Kaysa since he made his first grade appearance. I think if he can get the fitness to play 80 minutes regularly, he is getting close to that now, and try not to tackle quite so much and do a bit more in attack and perfect a kicking game, he is and should be our regular #9. I don't think we need to look elsewhere. I suspect, Kayas is aware that the Eels are looking to bring Peats back and that is likely spurring him on. He just needs to remember that is the kind of performances that will be required of him, week in, week out, even if they don't bring in another #9. He needs to be playing like that all the time, not just because he thinks his spot is currently in danger. His spot will always be in danger unless he is the best option.
I am hoping that the Eels don't spend any money on getting another #9 and use that money elsewhere. Lock up the talent we have, invest in juniors and possibly bringing back Junior Paulo when his contract at the Raiders is up. I believe Kaysa is our long term #9 option.
I'll admit the small part of the game I was able to catch he looked a lot better than I've seen previously . I still fear that once we hit some proper opposition he'll be a long way from what we need in an NRL Hooker . But well done to him I can't knock his ticker . I'd love him to prove me wrong .
"We might well take a step back In 2027. I expect in any given year that up to half of all clubs will perform worse than the year before and up to half will perform better. Every club has a long term average for performance that correlates to their…"
"Yes we are building, that is my point, we are building but potentially we could take a step back in 2027 if our solution at 6 is a rookie with no first grade experience or very little. "
"Gus has been sorting his spine since 21'. Five years. We've almost sorted ours in a year or so. JR isn't blind: he's looking for a long-term six. Right now.
Who? Lorenzo, Pap, Risati, a recruit. Not sure. I love Paps. Hope he stays. But Risati seems…"

He's been outstanding the last 3 weeks.
I thought he played well tonight and is improving each game as his fitness increases.
