Just heard on triple M whisper that Eels and Dragons are monitoring the Luke Metcalf situation at the warriors, as their keen to re sign Cht and Tanah Boyd. Would you take him? It does show that at the moment if their is an elite half on the market the Eels might try and get him if they stop screwing around.

      • He's worth a crack. Bennett isn't perfect he doesn't always get it right. Ryles might be able to do something. Some saying get spencer so because robbo couldn't get the best out of him does thst mean he's a lost cause to?

        • I agree, I think it's worth seeing where he is at. There's a lot of scope (and I mean a lot) for improvement in him from where he's at right now. If his head is in the right place and we got him at a good price he'd be a very good signing.

          • I get what your saying. He was supposed to be pumped at joining souths and bang he's gone. I suppose thats the thing fans are worried about, will he do it again? Maybe ryles should phone uncle benny and get some feed back from him. Which i'm sure he will.

  • Parra need centres big team Xerri & Tago would be ideal pick up this season, Yes CHT would be a good pick up but dont se Warriors letting him go

  • This is why we need to debut Lorenzo and give him 10 games to see if he's up to NRL standard or not

The season is done get him in

  • Few things to decipher from this.
Firstly, is this Metcalf's manager pushing the Warriors to name him and using us as pawns in that as we need a 6?

Or is it we actually are interested if a talent arises?

I think the former is more likely. Warriors going with CHT is cheaper too.

  • Havnt seen enough of talataina to speculate, but metcalf was killing it last year.

Atleast if you sign metcalf you know what you are going to get and thats a quality halfback, talataina is unknown if he can handle first grade.

    • Metcalf can easily play 7 or 6, I don't think the position will matter when you have the chance to bring in an elite half with speed. His injuries will always be a factor, so having Lorenzo to back him up will be the card we play until we have enough confidence that Lorenzo can take over.

      • Yeah i could see him as a good 6. Let's say, for argument sakes, he comes here, it is handy when Moses goes as he can play 7.
