This is kind of BS. He'll probably take the early plea so he can play, but he shouldn't have to. Paulo was pushed by another player, it was a complete accident. But if he fights it he risks not being able to play. Not real fair IMO.
How does the appeal process work? Paulo automatically getting a higher grade if the process fails doesn't spell a fair system.
100% agree. Again, it's one of the great NRL dumb rule mysteries...another of my pet hates. Very unfair that you have to accept you did it even if you didn't to be able to play and then it comes back to bite you anyway.
If he pleads guilty and gets another grade 1 he could be out for a game that is likely to be tougher
If he was pushed then the pusher should get the penalty and be on report
I didn't see the push but Junior definitely immediately complained about something

You can see it on partially replay
It isn't obvious because it's just at the very edge of the frame but you can definitely see a push.
