trying to deflect from atrocious refereeing and bias last night
Just because he is charged doesn't mean he's guilty, I hope we are fighting this one because there's plenty of evidence to clear him. The fact that Brimson was never subject to a HIA and the way he was clutching at his shoulder is a good start to get junior off.
We should fight it, irrespective of what junior either has or hasn't done the fact that the nrl have failed to assess Brimson for a head injury is a failing in their own process. A lot of guilt/innocence has nothing to do with a person's actions but whether or not procedures were followed to the letter.
He has painted himself into a corner by saying there was nothing wrong with it at the press conference and that is what the teach junior to do.
If we just except this because all he will miss is the tigers game we are excepting incompetence and/or corruption and it means the NRL will continue to do this to the eels and any other team that isn't in their masterplan for who they want/need to be successful in any particular year
"Poupou, how is my example "sophistry"? Which is plausible but invalid reasoning.
Your example to demonstrate my sophistry does not unpack the actual example, instead you divert to a red herring about degree of specifity (about what you are unclear).…"
"Well you didn't think this NRL is currupt it's certainly looking that way. V'landys has shown no backbone here & is helping one club & one club only. Of all the shit Parramatta have copped over the year, shit decision on so many levels this one take…"
"Poupou, how - specifically - do academics "appeal to their own authority"? Look at your own example, which does NOT display the fallacy of argument from authority. If X says a degree has utility value for Y because X can teach Y how to think not…"
"V'Landys tries to hide his hypocrisy in this whole Lomax Affair by seeking to shift sympathy toward Lomax, asking who would "knock a bloke that's trying to do the best for himself". But that shifting of ethical primacy toward Lomax contradicts…"

we should def fight it
Wow. Just wow.
Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with you Mr Analyst, you should never compare us to the Storm or Roosters. They are protected.. rules do not apply.

Brad Arthur won't fight it
