There is some mail doing rounds that the player Buzz & Adrian Proszenko were referring to is in fact Josh Curran. While nothing is near confirmed, he defintely fits the criteria of being a 'very good middle/edge' and is someone who defintely who fit within Ryles system.
If true, I would assume it would not be announced until the conclusion of the 2025 season. Ultimately, as the last thing the Bulldogs need is more talk around player movements. This would also explain the silence.
It is important to note this is not confirmed, just some mail going around and aligns with initial reports.

Man what we wouldn't do for a Nuikore Papali'i renewal at 2-300 k a piece those where the good old days even a Shaun Lane 2-3 years ago was on peanuts.
If we are looking for an edge it means for me that Jack Williams will revert to that bench middle role.
In saying this Kautoga has a future he'll be on peanuts and if Guymer progresses there's the balance.
Curran isn't what we need we've already got that guy here.
If you want to make a difference to the squad and top 13 you got to think they are going for an impact signing.Alot of the mentioned names we already have that type here already imo it's wasteful spending.
Onething I will say about recruitment and to there credit Parra are pretty good at this they keep there cards close to there chest and don't leak information. That's a good thing.
It makes a lot of sense for Wahs to let Niukore go and release some cap pressure. The battle will be getting him back across the pond.
Although he is a Kiwi I have some memory of him saying that Parra was a second home to him etc.
He is on 800k and the Warriors need money for halves a lot more than they need money for forwards.
Yes Parra is his home but also said he and his family owe their lives to BA and his family for how they helped them through tough times. The wife has IBS and times where she would have to go to hospital for an emergency and BA would take his sons and look after them until Niukore could get them.
I mean a lot here knock BA, i have too for his coaching. But you cannot deny he is a good bloke in general.
But i agree they need to let money go, i would rather go for Ford or someone like that. Though, i would not say no to Niukore.
You are right Coryn, nobody knew about De Belin, not even a single clue until it was announced.
LB, Not just DeBelin. Walker. Who expected that rabbit out of the hat? Williams. Smith. Tuivuita. Tautugo. We thought we lost Da Silva.
I'd love Tino (or a Haas), but they are $1m plus props. Have they won a title for the Broncos or Titans? Many assume they'd be the circuit breaker we need. How's RCG going btw? He was on fair coin here, too.
Herein lies the modern day hard-cap dilemma. And Big Names. It's not just a maths problem.
The Panthers creacked the code without billionaire sugar daddies. Same situation we're in. There's a reason they have a 21-22 man cap committee. It's not fantasy supercoach. I have Tino, May and Haas in my Supercoach team.
That's one concern I have with Curran. Is he looking to cash in? That was the reason we couldn't get May. He was going to the highest bidder and is on very good coin. Tigers to win a title soon?
The Panthers' pack isn't the biggest and didn't have any million dollar Haases or Tinos when they won 4-straight. Sure, Yeo would be worth a motza on the open market and JFH & Lenui cashed in, but not when they started winning titles. And the Panthers let them go when their value exceeded a certain point. Yeo can play 80 too. And is part of their brains trust. He's worth more than 2 middles. Matt Cameron calls him their "water supply" and Cleary their "electricity."
The reality is you want as many hard-working, athletic, tough nuts as possible working together as a pack of wolves. Thus together for some time, and ideally from within as much as possible with big engines and different body shapes that won't break the bank.
Exactly! Maybe Ryles wants to promote rather than recruit. Surely some will be ready next year. Other clubs have players younger. I think we have better here and cheaper also. I am starting to think the second row rumour is a smoke screen lol.
Pretty sure there were about 25 blogs on here about De Belin coming here before the club announced it.
It was announced before the club did, had cooling off period. Thats what I was referring to.
Badger I wrote a blog about why it was not announced by the club. I know it was said before that.
Some good points there Coryn. Our young forwards have a lot of upside, and in a couple of years could overtake other established forwards with good development. Still, a 2 year contract for an outsider could be a good thing to fill an experience void for now.
