Joey Lussick

With JH likely out for the season and Hands in his first year of first grade we need depth. Hands was struggling no doubt which is fair enough. Solution = Lussick. We looked better with him than Mahoney a couple years ago as he helped us find form after a slump. He is struggling for minutes at St Helen's in the SL. We should be making inquiries about him returning to the club. Importantly if both haves are unavailable Hands and Asi halves combo with lussick at 9 helps our spine depth. A full strength line up can be:

  1. Gutho
  2. Sivo
  3. Penisini
  4. Simmo
  5. Russel
  6. DB
  7. Moses
  8. paulo
  9. Lussick
  10. RCG
  11. Lane
  12. Carty
  13. Hopgood
  14. Hands
  15. Matto
  16. Greig
  17. Joe O/Moretti/Ogden/Maka

  • PS channel 9 were reporting that eels may be looking at him

    • Yea it's no rumour, they've made a approach. Hodgson won't play again this season.

    • He is behind James Roby who is essentially the Cameron smith of the SL. Lussick comes off the bench.

    • I think everyone prefers Hands. But some did express their concerns of him handling 80min every week in the NRL.

        • Consistent on what? So after every poor performance from hands I need to sling shade on him

            • I am fan of hands. I did suggest during the game that after he was feeling for his leg that his defence went poor. So maybe he was playing a bit hobbled. As funny as this may sound, Hands is nothing special but that makes him suit our style. He provides good service and just tries makes his tackle. Slowly his defence wil get more efficient and he may start using his kicking game.

              • I was at the game. There was an issue about 20 minutes in I think it was. We were coming off our line and he was in the in-goal looking gassed. Something wasn't quite right. Took him a few tackles to ge back into dummy half. He definitely wasn't looking 100%.

        • He has had 1 bad game compared to all of Hodgsons games being bad.

    • Hands got injured against the Warriors which I think affected his game. Lussick would be good and I don't know why they let him go last year to be honest

    • So Hands had one bad game compared to all of Hodgsons which were bad games.

There is no Hands bandwagon. He is far better than Hodgson.
