Not a bad game from young Joash, definitely an nrl level fullback but not as good as Iongi. It's good we have 2 fullback options but who can step in at anytime. Glad his last error didn't cost us because he didn't deserve that. Solid game and feel comfortable with him covering Iongi

Papa could be the next Ben Barba.
Iongi more of Dylan Edwards type player.
Better ball player than Edwards but yeah high workrate type Fullback. Both are different and good for our team. Competition is good.
I think Ryles still goes Iongi but it shows Iongi that any drop in form, Papali'i is breathing down his neck.
Got to disagree.
I thought Joash played much better in 1 game then Iongi did all season.
He looked genuinely threatening in attack.
Hes fast and just gelled so well.
His defence in the dying minutes was a coach killer but arent we all entitled to a few blunders here and there.
I dont think he is as big but he is definitely is as strong.
Outstanding debut at fullback. Id be confident for him to take over mid game if needed.
Question is, can Iongi play any other position?
It depends what fullback you prefer, Iongi does a lot of the tough work and safety first plays. Joash is your flashy attacking type. I'd lean more to the Iongi play style but Joash is certainly an option
For me it depends on what type of 6 you have, if you have a flash 6 you go the safe high work rate 1. Like panthers when they had luai at 6 Edwards at 1.
Longi is way more suited to 6 than papalii is. If papalii shows a lot over the next few weeks I seriously think the right move would be papalii 1, longi 6, BUT he has to show consistent good play at a level equal to or higher than longi has shown.
Well who is the better Fullback is the question? Iongi would definately be the better 6 but whoever is the better 1 is the one you pick. It is hard but one has to miss out it seems.
I just find it odd that people feel Iongi is the one that has to move. Ryles sees him as the best option and i believe he is the best option.
I would not weaken Fullback to make 6 spot more balanced. If Iongi was an option at 6 for Ryles i reckon he moves him. But it is hard to accommodate Papali'i as he is a Fullback only at the moment.
I'm not saying longi is the one that has to move, unless papalii outplays him as a fullback. At this point longi is still safe as the 1 but if papalii plays lights out then you would be crazy not consider trying longi at 6. At this point nothing should be set in stone.
Oh i didn;t mean you HKF with moving Iongi on comment.
I don't think it's clear cut just yet who the better fullback is. They are very different style fullbacks which HKF points out. Papali looked far more threatening last night than he did in all 3 games at 6. Weekes is arguably the in form fullback at the moment and Joash gives Weekes vibes. Although Joash made a couple of errors last night, they are not errors Iongi hasn't made this year either. To say Iongi is safer/better fullback right now is only because we've seen more of him and seen great improvement from him. We will see how Joash goes over the next few weeks but one thing is definitely true, we have 2 x very talented 1s at the club and if we do not buy a 6 then one of them has to develop into a 6
