Jett Cleary off to NZ

Youngest Cleary has signed for the warriors, lot of these young halves don't want to be stuck behind great halfbacks. Not sure if it's the best career move lol

  • Funny enough he is also eligible for the kiwis after being born there

    Imagine a Cleary v Cleary international 😂

Jet Cleary is a good player a mate of mine who works in the Penrith jr system reckons he has that something special

    • Could be as good as the big brother apparently.

    • jett isn't rated as high as Nathan

      • The best halves coming through the grades now is Ethan Sanders and Mitch Woods from dogs.

  • Smart move by the Clearys. Gets Jett out of his brother's shadow, playing under a Coach they know and trust. Win/ win

    • Yep Ivan probably spoke to Webster about it

  • Smart move by alll parties. He is not going to be Nathan CLEARY 2.0.  He might be  achance of NRL.   By going to Auckland he gets to playw ioth WEBSTER who was in teh Penrith system as know.  He plays his formative years hopefully under Johnson ( elite half ) , a very good rugby league coach ( Webster ) and will be able to develop at HIS PACE  NOT WHAT SPECTATORS, SUPPORTERS, CRITICS OR CLUBS EXPECT HIM TO DO.

      • Yeah maybe Sanders actually sees more development opportunities playing under Fogerty than he does Moses ?

          • Who me , Brah?  . Nah Brah , I'm one of those idiots that doesn't get why he thinks he'll get more gametime down there than he would at Parramatta , brah .

If he didn't poop his pants in the trials he'd already have been likely to have played most of this season . The Cotton wool kid and the boob groper have been known to miss a fair bit of footy. .

plus I was one of the idiots who felt the super long term contracts for our halves were too long in their respective terms for various reasons , not excluding scenarios just like we are seeing with The Colonel.

            yah dig there , Micko?

              • Well if the kid needed 4 or 5 years to force himself into the NRL squad I guess he's going to be pretty shit anyways.  Yah diiig.... but since I actually agreed with you , I guess that makes us both idiots there , young Micko .

"I'm not sure we are in a position where we "need" to do anything. That's not a great place to be. If we want to be like those clubs you've mentioned we should start behaving like them, and that's what we are seeing the beginnings of right now. "

Hell On Eels replied to SuperEel 22's discussion Lomax has blown up his own career. And for what?
"Yes, clubs must spend a minimum 97.5% of the cap. Top 30 settled by 30 June. We have over five months to pick up handy mid-season buys like Walker or TDS last year. We aren't panicking or as desperate as we have been in the past or we would have…"
