Jaydn Su’A Commits to Parramatta Eels (Official Club Statement)

The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce that Jaydn Su'A has agreed to join the club on a three-year contract commencing in the 2027 season and running through to the end of 2029.

A powerful and hard-running backrower, Su’A brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Eels’ forward pack. Since making his NRL debut in 2016, he has gone on to play 160 first-grade matches, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most consistent and physical edge forwards.

Parramatta Eels GM of Football Mark O'Neill welcomed the signing, highlighting Su’A’s impact on and off the field.

"Jaydn has a strong physical presence, he is a competitor who leads through his actions. He can play big minutes, defend consistently, and will be great for our squad."

“He’s built a reputation on toughness and effort, and we believe his experience at both NRL and representative level will add value to our group as we continue to build for the future.”

In addition to his club career, Su’A has performed on the representative stage, earning selection for the Queensland Maroons in State of Origin and representing Samoa internationally.

"Agreed. The question is are we improving or are we going backwards? We haven't played finals since 2022 when the club allowed the roster to be picked apart. People mention rebuild when they talk about the Eels but if you're not improving, can it be…"

        I don't even worry about how much if we go for Farnworth and end up like chiefs post Averillo and or Tago.Again we seemingly struggle to attract the best guys and end up with a teams discards.

    Yes. We need better players than Hughes but we also need ones like him. He is still miles ahead of Koina, Talagi, etc at this stage.
