The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce that Jaydn Su'A has agreed to join the club on a three-year contract commencing in the 2027 season and running through to the end of 2029.
A powerful and hard-running backrower, Su’A brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Eels’ forward pack. Since making his NRL debut in 2016, he has gone on to play 160 first-grade matches, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most consistent and physical edge forwards.
Parramatta Eels GM of Football Mark O'Neill welcomed the signing, highlighting Su’A’s impact on and off the field.
"Jaydn has a strong physical presence, he is a competitor who leads through his actions. He can play big minutes, defend consistently, and will be great for our squad."
“He’s built a reputation on toughness and effort, and we believe his experience at both NRL and representative level will add value to our group as we continue to build for the future.”
In addition to his club career, Su’A has performed on the representative stage, earning selection for the Queensland Maroons in State of Origin and representing Samoa internationally.

It's been so long since we had a premiership and watching our 86 side celebrating 40 years through some social media posts brings back such fond memories. Sometimes i think it's worth just breaking the bank, buy 6 or 7 players on $900k - $1m and put some decent youngsters and journeyman around them and buy a premiership. I'd gladly give up 2 or 3 years of stuffing the cap to just win a premiership. Other teams buy premierships and don't play the wait for our next gen juniors etc. Argggg then my brain kicks in and shuts it down. Is it so wrong to just go stuff it lets buy the best and as many as we can fit under the cap. I'm a bit sick of being told to have patience whilst we wrap up some mystery juniors that will lead us to the promised land.
Well that time is almost upon us if you have a look at the batch we have in the top 30 you can probably honestly say they aren't it.There isn't the firepower there to win a premiership. You can look at this 2 ways are we committed to winnning in Mose's prime or are we thinking he's the bridge to the next batch.
If he is the latter we may aswell take the pain now and use that 4 mill for the next 3 years to build and lock up these key juniors and continue the solid buys in the market place as we aren't winning with Mitchell so what's the point.Or or we push the chips in the middle for the next year or 3 and give JR the tools like you mention and try and buy a premiership. The biggest problem here is all to see folks asking as an example how much would you pay Farnworth well the question really is would Farnworth want to come here that's more the issue when it comes to buying the mentioned would these top tierd guys want to come to Parra.
