The Parramatta Eels are excited to announce that Jaydn Su'A has agreed to join the club on a three-year contract commencing in the 2027 season and running through to the end of 2029.
A powerful and hard-running backrower, Su’A brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Eels’ forward pack. Since making his NRL debut in 2016, he has gone on to play 160 first-grade matches, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most consistent and physical edge forwards.
Parramatta Eels GM of Football Mark O'Neill welcomed the signing, highlighting Su’A’s impact on and off the field.
"Jaydn has a strong physical presence, he is a competitor who leads through his actions. He can play big minutes, defend consistently, and will be great for our squad."
“He’s built a reputation on toughness and effort, and we believe his experience at both NRL and representative level will add value to our group as we continue to build for the future.”
In addition to his club career, Su’A has performed on the representative stage, earning selection for the Queensland Maroons in State of Origin and representing Samoa internationally.

Yes as long as he keeps developing the way he is. It would be nice for him to have decent players to play alongside in cup for his development but injuries haven't helped.
That's an interesting thought EA. I gathered him on the right but at the same time Williams is a fine defender but has lapses in him so would Su'A be better for a rookie 6?
Looks like most of us are happy with the signing. I know it is an upgrade on Kelma and Kat, Gymer etc. I just think we need to get a top 10 player or two and a front rower or two. I suppose I should just be happy we signed someone decent. That is what being a parra supporter for 55 years does to you LOL

"If it means he comes early now, no point saints having him there if he missing several weeks. We use that time for him to learn our shapes etc, serves his suspension and is ready to go. Like the idea "

Williams at his best last year was on the right
I am pretty sure Williams is a left side player.
Burton also left side, perfect foyle for Moses
Williams best game was at right backrow against knights last year
Is that subjective or fact as an overall thing?
EA Williams had a lot of errors in his game when he played for the sharks too. Hopefully Su'a improves in that department like Williams has.
Yea he has improved his handling at eels. In the middle he misses way to many tackles
Should solve our backrow issues, now we need a prop and a centre as our next two signings
