Jayden Brailey - a hooker for us

Jayden brailey's been given permission to look elsewhere, we should pick him up as we need a proper hooker. He can mentor Hands and Arthur and is much better than either as it stands. Lret's be honest we havent been the same since Mahoney left and a hooker is such a vital role. Brailey would be the best buy for 2025.

  • We definitely need another hooker, you need at least 3 and he is better than average without being a star.

  • I do not mind it if he was more durable. He has gotten a lot of injuries and not sure if he is past it or not. We don't want another Hodgson type. Brailey is not a top 5 Hooker, but is better than what we have and is a good Hooker.

    • Hodgson was well past his used date but Brailey seems a better fit if he shares with Arthur or Hands. Give him a limited contract without a player option and see how he goes. At least he's not a hopeful NRL player like we have been recruiting for years. We all know he can play at NRL level. He gives good service, can tackle and has some smarts about him. Gotta be a thousand times better than running 2 inexperienced hookers at the same time.

      • Fair call.

  • He would be better than all our current DH espcially while MA develops. Send Lussick back to SL.

Use a Brailey and MA combo and keep Hands for depth.

Seems like too smart of a signing for a club like us.

  • Was Brailey at Cronulla whilst Hannay was there?

    • Nah he left in 2019.

  • The bloke knows how to find an injury.

  • "Brailey would be the best buy for 2025".

Christ i hope not, unless he is an olympic sprinter ..... I would like to think we may have higher priorities, but he could be handy?

  • No, they should be looking at Kodi Nikorima as a 14.
