This issue should be put to bed 8 weeks ago. Yes we have the bush coach but this show we are not stable as a club. Both players and fans need to see a stable club that they can trust. To attract both long players and sponsors they club needs to be stable.

We not be left in the dark as to signing either guess whether or not the club has signed some superstar until after the 1st November. Again a lack of management by the club. Bernie's refusal to either meet with a representative from this site show the man ignorance.

Here is the truth the club lacks a stable leadership!

  • Poor Jarryd, no wonder he comes last in all the training drills.
    • I thought he also had legal issues in the States, from his 49ers days

  • Why on earth would the club inform 'supporters' about what is going on behind the scenes in regards to recruitment? I would much rather any negotiations going on be kept out of the public eye. This is actually good management not a lack of management.

Why would Bernie meet with anyone from this site? All everyone on this site does is cry about how BA and Bernie should be sacked.

As for Hayne I hope he stays with us but only if it is at a price that he is worth. I think all the media articles you are seeing about Hayne that are being released by his manager to try and put pressure on the club to agree to whatever his asking price is. The club is playing it smart.

    • Agreed, some of the things on here are laughable. Any negotiations are private unless you want to go back to some prior boards as some may when we had leaks everywhere.

As if Bernie is going to meet with someone from here...now that is comedy.

    • The reason for keeping supporters in informed is simply, informed supporters means happy supporters which in turn generates more supporters. Big supporter base means a big market of consumers for sponsors to reach which in turn drives up the club market value for sponsorship deal! It's simply business 101 which both you and Bernie lack!

Believe it or not some of the members here are actually sponsors of the club at grass level so yes Bernie should take the take time to talk a representative from this group of supporters too. Just like he did for TCL!

      • Do you expect that the club, management, coach and others have to answer to every fan/supporter or the like any question as to what they are doing?

While the no news on signings is something that every one here and those not on this site are looking forward to knowing especially with who is coming and who is not and who are going, also this shows to me that the club are looking sensibly at the aspect of what to offer Hayne for another contract.

How many here are over the drama that seems to be associated with him, if he wants in then the club has to sign him on mutual terms and not his or just the club.  Seems to me that as I personally have not seen this period of silence in the past from the club and the CEO currently responsible for managing the roster and signings of new players and the like, also is probably dealing with other signings as well,

Maybe if there is any truth in any of the rumours about players already signed for next year but cannot be announced before Nov 1, the club needs that period of time before going any further with Hayne. Maybe something that concerned Saints with his signature may also be one of the things that the eels are waiting on as well, that being the case he has to answer for in the U.S.

No one here has need to know aspects that are involved in contract negotiations as that is between the club, player and his management.  We have no rights to those details as its really none of our business.

      • Donald, that is why we have a club and part of their job is to negotiate without it being in the media all the time. The club  should inform its members when signings are completed - absolutely; as for sponsors Donald, i assume they have a contract in place which states what is involved.

      • The club has already said they are working to get Hayne to resign. The rest is between the club, the player, and his manager. If he goes elsewhere after all that, it is not the fault of the club - I'm confident they would be offering a fair contract. Perhaps Hayne's manager should do some legwork and speak to local businesses about TPAs.

        • You mean the ones that Bernie has said no to?

          • Bernie only said that the club would not get involved. If Hayne wants a TPA he needs to speak with his manager, not the club.
