    • Who's paying the tax? If it's government, then that only needs a change of government to change the tax-free status.

      • The government of the day (regardless of the side) won't rip this up - it'll run the course for the 10 years now. Unless you're Trump diplomatic agreements run to term, regardless of governments changing. This is 100% locked in.

        • But after 10 years, if a new government, then we will see what happens.

    • the png goverment set the tax rate not the nrl or australian goverment

  • This is why the recruitment group need to be in front of the game; we need to have some tough type players earmarked (with some nrl exp) and we will need more than Sua; Paulo will be gone i assume by 28 along with i assume Matto / Walker and now possibly Williams; and with Hopgood gaining injuries.....we need some more biff up front and this concerns me as juniors alone will not be enough.

  • PNG will win a comp before we do ill say in 15 years time they would of equalled our tally they will be able to buy a comp in the first few then reap rewards of local talent and NRL talent and NRL exceptions

  • At 31 he won't have many years left so I get why he'd take the cash free money. Luckily we ch ave a few edge forwards coming through that are 1-2 years away from debuting

  • Shames Ryles isn't

  • In regards to the coaching i think mal would of been better suited to png and peters perth bears.

  • I can't understand why everyone is worried about it now when this has been on the table for 2-3 years but now Tax free and Free TPAs is now unfair 😂 why wasn't there so much noise around this when Expansion was first floated.

The players and there families no what there getting themselves into before going up there.Players aren't uprooting there families not understanding and knowing all the facts before doing so.Alot of this is scaremongering.I floated this to a certain poster on here that Expansion was going to hurt the nrl more so than help it because the talent base elite talent at best was stretched right now less the 2 new teams. But apparently not the argument was there's plenty of talent. When in all essence there isn't there's the haves and have nots.

Vlandys and co can say what they like but in all essence all this is really is a cash grab for the game more product to sell regardless if it's good for the game or not.

Now, take two examples in your reply.…"
