Izack Tago dropped to bench for Penrith

Are there issues at Penrith for Izack Tago? Dropped to the bench in favour of Tom Jenkins. Rumour circled that Lomax for Tago trade was sort of mentioned. Talk of wanting to play at same club as Jake. Now let's say it is true that he wants to play with Jake, there is no harm signing Jake to a NSW Cup deal or 2nd tier deal for 2027 just to have Izack at the club. Perfect Centre replacement for Russell if so.

  • Issue with Tago is he cannot defend to save himself

    • He would fit right in.

  • Terrible in defence, I would rather Jenkins or Alamoti. McLean would be awesome, but that ain't happening.

  • He only defends when it's time for finals

If Cleary can't get him to defend consistently, I don't know what coach will

    • I would say Nathan Cleary is an overrated defender.

  • His carries wiill help us, we need something better than Simmo honestly. Put Russell on the wing and Fox on the other.

On Thursday, former Eels player Justin Horo said on SEN radio that he's heard rumblings of the Panthers potentially shopping Tago to Parramatta in a swap for Lomax. Tago's brother Jake plays for the Eels, and it could be a golden opportunity for them to play together

    • I don't understand how they will play together. Izac will be in FG and Jake will be in Cup. Plus you would think Jake wont be resigned next year

  • Can't see Lomax going to Penrith! Lomax can't go anywhere if he doesn't want to go even if the Eels agree to a swap. Lomax still has to agree..Id rather see Lomax back playing for Parra after the Storm thrashing.

"Never been a fx again. It can totally change the momentum and outcomes of games. We copped a heap early on Thursday night and our forwards certainly seemed puffed. Althought that wasn't the reason we lost the game it certainly didn't help."

"Yep they certainly "could" control outcomes using 6 agains and even just speeding up and down the ruck using verbal commands. There is one thing all humans eventually suffer - fatigue. All nrl teams are capable of taking advantage of it.
