Is Tommy Turbo finished?

One of my favourite players to watch, the poor guy has been crippled by a dodgy left hamstring. Now he's torn his right hamstring (Grade 2) which means best case scenario he missed the first month of footy.
We all know what an amazing player he is but the question remains. Given his inability to play a season without very significant time on the side-line is he basically finished as a marquee player? Should Manly look elsewhere.

  • Yer he reminds me a bit of David Woods when he played for Parra so much potential but always got injured Manly must be a  bit worried signing him to a long term contract and the amount of footy he plays but long term deals are always a risk

    • Kieran Foran 2.0.

      Cheers,

      Scott

  • Did the injury slipping in the shower too. Poor guy can't take a trick...

    • Is that how he explained the eggplant?

  • Even though I am not a Manly fan, it is sad for Tom, and must be SO frustrating. He is a good player when fit, which uunfortunately hasn't been that often in recent years. I wish him well in his latest recovery effort.

  • He has always been an injury prone player. Ever since his debut in 2015 he has never had an injury free year it's just the hamstring has been the more occurring injury.

I feel for him though, love Turbo as a player and never wanna a career ruined & hampred by injury, hope he starts to get a bit of luck soon.

  • Either his body can't take the muscle load it takes to be an elite athlete - you can't fight genetics. Or, he doesn't prepare his body properly and has been overcompensating for that left hamy. Either way, he and Manly need to find a way out of this, otherwise he may have a very short career.

  • Think he might be finished if he gets another 2 or 3

  • Video going around of him have a sprint race at the corso in Manly with one of the locals, hearing he was drunk and I'm guessing that's how he did his hamstring.

    • Oh yeah. The Political spin explanation they dished out. Its like ok dumb asses we believe you.

      Was ozzie ostrich real ?
