  • i have to agree, when i heard the news of him first returning i was thrilled and even more when he said he had something to prove etc, but now im starting to wish he went somewhere else. when hes on his game he is awesome, a game breaker and a nice player to watch but i have been very disappointed this year. When he has been on the field which hasnt been much he has been missing tackles, doing stupid high shots and not getting involved in the attack.
The only thing i worry about is that reddy is not really an outstanding centre, he is normally ok but is not a hard hitting defender or game breaker in attack, if tahu gets more involved then maybe hes worth it.
I just think of the money we spent on tahu(not basic money) coulda gone towards a player like michael gordon whos on fire and great kicker, their are many players out their or bring in a younger player and use the money for quade cooper or a big name player.
i just think we also have players out of positions, i mean reddy was always a fullback now playing in the centres, burt is good at fullback playing on the wing, we need to get specialist players for those positions not just chuck them in if that positions filled. ben smith was a centre now 2nd row.
its not working now so now we having nothing to play for and the trials before next yr lets spend the time to get it right
  • He needs a full pre-season under his belt and he needs to get his head in the right spot.
He's been off-colour since his dust-up with the whole racism row.

Give him some time to clear his head, and I think he'll come back next year bigger and better.
  • After tonight's game, I'll be glad to see the back of Mateo.
  • Poore has progressively gotten better and I thought he was in our top 3 players tonight.
He made some good metres, and it looks he's excited to play for the Eels.
Congrats on a great game Justin!! :)
  • He made a few blues but really it just proved tonight that we dont have quality halves. good halves = good centres
  • yeh tahu really needs to prove he was worth signing again and the money we payed for him. so far he has been very disappointing and thats alot of $$ sitting on the sideline suspended. hope he gets better cause love his hits and runs, gotta learn when to hit and when to just do a tackle and gotta get involved.
  • I think he just needs to find his form a little, his made bone crunching brute big hits :) Buts thats about it..
Hopefully the people who will lift in 2011 are Tahu,Poore(was really good tonite),Morts(wtf..is wrong with you? you had 2 weeks rest and you gave nothing tonite...i noe you tried ur best but hope you can improve), Also looking forward to seeing mitchell, hayne, reddy and guru next year,i noe they will be playing there hearts out. Not like inu and mateo..
  • Keep Mateo?? As what? Waterboy? As for spending zillions on big names, bullshoot. Shackleton- splat. Tahu-splat. Hayne -splat.. Morts- kerrunch. Spread it through the team, good trainers, good coach. Stars are targets. It's the team that has to be fostered.
  • I agree completely Donnsta.
The fact that he had so much time to recover and get over it all from his suspension should have been impetus enough for him to play better, but he didn't.
I agree wholeheartedly that if he doesn't play well in the first few games, that he should take a seat on the sidelines.

I just don't think that we should be overly critical of him, when he's had a disrupted season in more ways than one.
I really hope he can lift his game though and play better next year.
  • Lol to funny this is
