Is Sandow to blame?

According to the following article from Fox sports, "Sandow has touched the ball more, run more, forced more dropouts, assisted more line breaks, busted more tackles and made more tackles this year than at the same moment in 2011.

"And his line breaks (one), line breaks assist (three) and try assists (two) stats are no worse than his 2011 benchmarks."

  • More his miss tackles, communication, kicking game and enthusiasm when the team is behind.
But it is not just him in that stats department!
  • Personally, I don't think Sandow has been that bad so far. Sure, he hasn't set the world on fire, and was an expensive acquisition, but he's far, far from the worst player we've had on the field and when your entire tactical game plan is to dummy-half pass to a lone forward to lumber forward get bashed, then held down by 3 defenders and repeat until either an error is made or the ball is kicked away, there's not a lot the little bloke can really do.

I'm tired of hearing that our forwards aren't dominating. Watch other teams play and when a forward hits it up, invariably he has options - i.e. players running alongside, a dummy half ready to scheme, or support players to drop the ball off to. The defensive line needs to cover 2 or 3 scenarios and thus cannot be static. When we play, a Tim Mannah, Justin Poore, Fui or Hindy will hit the line yet be completely isolated so the defensive line can concentrate its entire might in stopping our bloke. The fact that our forwards have been making decent metres despite this is testimony to their efforts.

And if we needed a hole running backrower attacking out wide in order to be competitive, then what the fuck is Justin Horo doing down at Wentworthville??

From team selection to tactics SK just gets it wrong every time!

    • Wenty are going pretty awful as well, Horo isn't doing much there.
But I agree Lasalo is pretty awful and needs to be replaced...

    • Why does the word h ard get censored??

  • The thing with stats is if you place 1 hand on a player while he is down thats classed as a tackle.

    • Just saw SK interviewed by DW on Channel 9 news. According to SK, Sandow isn't overweight, Hayne is 100% & Burt "wouldn't want to leave" Parra. Methinks he protests too much...
  • Hayne is  100% ? surely you dont believe that?

  • NO - our forwards are to blame........no real impact!!!

Hard to attack coming off your own 20 every set of 6.....

  • Yeah lets blame the Koori Kid for the ineptness of the coach and the other 16 players in the side, good one Fcukfeatures

    • Chris Sandow is technically a Murri ( he is from Queensland ) and no I don't believe Parramatta's problems lay with him. It's hard to be the playmaker when your team has no momentum.
