Is it possible to read the players minds?

Here are two situations; 1) Can you tell if Parra consider the for and against? If it's evident that Parra are not going to win a game, do you think the next thing on their minds would be to play entirely defensive to possibly prevent further sliding down the ladder. For example the game against the Storm. 2) Does a bye which equals a guaranteed 2 points play on their mind the game before possibly determining the outcome of that game.
