Is BA the most powerful coach in the NRL?

When you can quote Manu ma'u saying things like this"I love BA, I would do anything for him. Kill or be killed!”2017 is going to be a big year for the eels! I can feel it!

  • Hope that means he will sign
    • Don't players always say stuff like that just before they leave?
  • That's a pretty awesome thing to hear from a player like Manu.

One thing is for sure, I don't think there's a coach in the NRL (maybe Bennett) that is more adored by their fans. Considering he has yet to make a finals appearance, I'd say he's the safest coach in the game right now.

If he keeps building the team with players that look up to him like this, I'd say we could have a pretty special decade in front of us.
    • Did... Did you just say DYNASTY?
    • Been a while since we've had a curse blog. Phil, anyone you reckon will have a big 2017?
  • I don't think there's any doubt now that Manu will extend his contract in the near future based on the desire he's shown. It's very reassuring, as there were rumours going around earlier that the Roosters were very interested in him. I love Brad's mentality about recruitment as shown in this quote: "the players sell a team and a club. They're the ones who talk, they're the ones who help you recruit other players". I think he's bang on. Arthur has built a culture, and this culture is not only good for improving on-field performance, but also for reducing player turnover. It also means players will not be signed for overs, but rather because they want to play for us. In regards to your blog title, I think BA is perhaps the most integral coach in the NRL in terms of the central importance he plays in keeping the team together. He is the active ingredient, the nucleus. Without BA, many of our players would never have come to Parramatta in the first place. It is critical that he remains.

    • Spoke to Manu last night. He's not going anywhere.
  • I agree and let's not forget that brad has to share Sydney and brisbanes advantage is massive tpas and family/ friends as incentives. Like most of you I was absolutely stoked he won the clubman award last night. My favourite eel without a doubt
  • He got our best player of the year surely he is our priority to re-sign
  • "Powerful" ????????????????????

    What's he press?

On his way but give it a bit more time.

That's what I love about being on here - when things go south we will crucify anyone - when things are looking up we reckon everyone can walk on water.
