Is AFL tougher than NRL???

Code-hopper Karmichael Hunt has undoubtedly raised the ire of rugby league fans by saying Australian football is a tougher game. The Gold Coast Suns defender has spoken candidly about his AFL and NRL careers in an interview with Fairfax and has described the difficulties he has faced adjusting to the 18-a-side game."It's just so complex," Hunt said of AFL."Staying ahead of the play. I just really respect the guys who can do that. I would say it's tougher than rugby league where you can be outside the play having a rest."Hunt also spoke of his critics from both AFL and NRL circles, saying he has the ultimate respect for the AFL and does not think his presence at the Suns cheapens the game."The guys who love the game and have grown up with it I think they are very protective," he said, "which I can understand because the game's so dear to them. I'm like from another code but it's not as if I've come in all high and mighty about this game. I have great respect for it and all I would say to them is I'm giving it a crack."I know I have a lot of knockers and I probably learnt how to deal with that from other experiences. I copped a fair bit in the past when I chose to play for Queensland and not New Zealand and I learned then just to focus on the chosen path."Hunt, who won an NRL premiership with Brisbane Broncos in 2006 and also enjoyed State of Origin success with Queensland, says he is enjoying being part of history at the Suns."The best thing has been the whole experience so far,'' he said."Brisbane was a fantastic club but being part of something new, getting to play in their first game, getting to train and play in the new stadium, being part of the first win ... it's history isn't it? I just feel so privileged to be a part of it."

The journo's simply cannot go into bat for BA like they have…"

They have no clue what it takes to run an elite sporting club and not moving heaven and earth to get the best coach of this generation spells it out. ZERO CLUE!!!"
