Bye bye Dunster. Injury is the nail in the coffin.
2 years left in his contract. 2025
He could medically retire
Thats a club option for next year I think. I recon he may still have a future in the NRL. However, I think he needs a fresh start at a new club. Maybe sign a 2nd tier contract and have a full season in reserve grade. Perhaps change to centre or even bulk up more and move to the backrow. See how it goes from there.
Unfortunately I think you are right. This is the third straight year he has sustained a significant injury. His value to club must surely have plummeted.
EA, do you know whether clubs get any cap relief for long term injuries or do they need to be medical retirements?
I think it depends on the type of injury. Usually you do get cap dispensation for long term injuries even if they will return.
Surely SIVO has a season ending injury after how he played last week. The guy did fck all to contribute and just limped around the field!
Carty wouldn't be surprised if it is next week.
Moses is about spot on what BA was told 8-10 week mark. He will push a week or two earlier, i wonder if he is able to do it. I still think he can and think Round 10 will happen but better than the "3 months" the media constantly go on with. They don't know maths obviously. Since when is 8-10 three months?
I think ba will let the break heal but there will be no rehab
