Injury report Round 1

https://www.parraeels.com.au/news/2025/03/05/injury-update-round-1/

Essentially, Moretti, Greig and Cartwright were simply overlooked. Very confusing. Moretti especially as I believe he is better than Doorey and Guymer.

  • No surprise on Greig being overlooked. Surprised at Moretti, but perhaps Guymer's versatility is in his favour.

Frustrating thing is no NSW Cup as we have the bye so no chance to see those guys play before round 2.

    • I would have thought Moretti at least in the 22.

  • So Mitch out for an unknown time and Bailey not back until round 4, meaning that we are stuck with Tago for a few weeks as well.

What a pity I had such hopes for this season that we would be fighting for a top 8 position,  but by the time Mitch is back it may all be over.

I wonder if a poor start to the season will mean Dylan is more likely to leave?

Oh well, as a long term fan I guess I can always resort to our unofficial  team motto of, "There's always next year."

    • Going in with hope and could be all gone by game 1.

But come Round 3, JAC is back and Russell will be other wing.

    • This.

Mitches injury is a concern and no fucking wonder the bloke decided to accept the extension. This club is cursed and its run by total F wits

    • I thought our motto was "For Fucks Sake"

  • Agree but odd about Moretti buy Greig and Cartwright were average in the trial

  • apparently moreti is injured.

  • TCT podcast say Moretti might be injured, but not sure.

Cartwright and Greig will, and should, leave by midseason. Really not needed. Ideally Dunster too. We have other younger options to give them their time on the pitch, if not sign other players.

Still, no long term injury, yet. Still sunshine here.
