Listening to his comments at post match press conferences, Brad Arthur appears to be able to identify the problems in the team
but based on the form of the team he doesn't seem capable of solving them. Again he said the team lacked physicaity,
but why is that the case Brad? You have said that on numerous occassions now. I thought their physiclaity was o.k. The real problem was the Eels
seemed overwhelmed by the Souths attacking plays. They looked like they had no idea as to what Souths would do next.
Jake Arthur's poor kicking game did not help. There seems to be a lack of leadership on the field as well.

From the outside looking in there seems to be some internal conflict. It start around the time of the Canterbury game. Something happened in the lead up to that game. Certain players don't want to play with certain players. I would say that certain players don't want to play under the coach. Obvious there is no unity or pride in the jersey.
Yeah Brissy I sort of lean that way of what is different v Manly and Penrith if we have same game plan.
Dont know but we looked flat early v Souths compared to Penrith where we were on.
Which great wins do you refer to?
Rito coach
Souths strolled 60 metres in set 1 from the kick off. Souths forwards aren't world beaters either.
The Eels started passively for sure. I've mentioned this previously if you watch the pre-game there is a marked difference between the two teams as they prepare to leave the sheds. Souths were in a circle, focused and listening intently as Demetriou laid down the law. At the same time the Eels were wandering around aimlessly, BA now where to be seen, some players still not wearing jerseys, they quickly did some "bro" cuddles and wandered out. I'm not pointing to this as the key issue, but simply pointing out the very obvious differences in intensity pre-game. Make of that what you will.
That's where it is mentally an issue for this squad Brissy. Media says it's the team is not that good, or coach etc. But mentally we are still dreadful and can actively switch off.
Players and coach are equally responsible for mentality
It takes exactly 2 sets to know whether we're up for the game or not each week. I reckon based on the first 2 sets of our games I can pretty predictably call a result.
This points to the fact that we're often beaten before we even walk onto the field.
There must be something in the preparation, or in the mindset. This Jekyll and Hyde stuff has plagued us for a long time now.
X 2 also look at the body language when we score.
I think there's some serious clash of personalities going on. It's obvious there's blokes in the team that don't like each other. You don't turn up and not score a single point in front of your home fans if your a well gelled team.
