Illegal lifts

I thought it was a penalty if the arm is between the legs and it's a lifting tackle I've counted nine by the dogs and not one penalty.

  • Good call Ryan, the refs seem to just call held, but the dogs are doing it at every opportunity.
  • I thought so to but hard to tell live but I said it to my mate that they seem to constantly keep lifting and pushing players back when usually refs call held as soon as a player is lifted for their safety. Jeez we were up against it tonight there was plenty of obstacles for us to overcome and we nearly did it..
Definitely can't question the effort tonight
    • Reffs calling held was the cue to lift leg repeatedly.

Also missed calling a tackle on Pauli that looked suss, but evidently ok.

You are so right we were always going to be up against it and they put in a great effort.

Young guys, most never have been in such a big game. They did good.

  • I didn't know lifts were illegal. Someone should tell Fongy. He might lose some standing, but I'm sure he'd stand up for us.

  • Just having a laugh Frankie. It's all good.
