  • Great kid needs to bulk up a little bit for centres.
  • Link doesn't work
    • It works for me.
  • I wont be disappointed if we end up with Gutherson in the centres.

  • It won't be a disaster if Gutherson is our first choice centre, but ideally you want your starting 17 to all be proven and known to be able to do the job you need of them. Ideally, If I had to design a roster, you'd want:

    - 1 rep quality centre

    - 1 reliable NRL centre

    - 1 rep quality specialist winger

    - 1 reliable NRL centre/winger

    - 1 reliable backup centre/winger

    - 1/2 promising centre/winger

    - 1/2 cheap wingers

This should get you through almost any injury issues yet makes best use of your salary cap. You also give yourself the opportunity to progress your talented young kids. Clearly right now we're short that rep-quality centre but if you thrown Roberts in there you've got my ideal make-up of an outside back roster.

    - 1 rep quality centre (Roberts)

    - 1 reliable NRL centre (Taka)

    - 1 rep quality specialist winger (Semi)

    - 1 reliable NRL centre/winger (Gutherson)

    - 1 reliable backup centre/winger (Mogan)

    - 1/2 promising centre/winger (Folau/Schulte)

    - 1/2 cheap winger (Faraimo/Tuha)

  • I thought he was bought to be a centre right from the start?

I've got no doubt he can make it and become a great centre - the only question from me is whether he can stay fit.

    • The school of thought when he signed him was centre/wing. But all indications since have pointed towards centre.

  • Gutherson stating his preference as we already knew.

He'll go great guns at centre.

    • Does he have the ball skills and offloading ability of a great centre Ricky?
