Have never really looked at Dutton or knew anything about him . But today I was having a bit of a nosey since he may be our next PM , and I like the guy .
He seems to be a hard nosed fella who gets the job done whether it’s popular or not . And I like the fact he boycotted Rudds silly little sorry day .
Bring on the Dutton and let’s get the place back on track .

Do you like the fact that our potential next Prime Minister has a cloud over his eligibility to even sit in parliament? How about him being referred to a Senate inquiry over the use of his powers in immigration issues surrounding his au pair's visa?
Dutton will not be a popular Prime Minister, either in parliament or amongst the people. He will not win the election next year.
Dutton will be a disaster for the LNP coalition. He's not interested in governing. His first comment regarding the spill motion was that he had to keep Bill Shorten from office. That's not the words of someone looking after the public interest or someone looking to govern. That's someone only looking to further his own career at the expense of us.
Perhaps he has concluded that Bill Shorten as PM will be terrible for the country, and he thinks that him leading the LNP is a better chance of winning the next election when compared to Turnbull.
They will crash and burn with Dutton as leader. He may not even hold onto his seat if he's still in parliament by then.
In the seat of Longman, which is near Dutton's seat of Dickson, Labor won with an even larger majority than they already held, indicating a further swing against the Liberal party. He only holds a 3% lead at the moment and he copped a 5% swing against him at the last election. If he's not popular in his own electorate, what hope does his party have?
The point is when if he gets in and starts acting , he will become popular Super . I like him because he doesn’t want to be popular . He’s a doer.
Hes on record stating he doesn’t seek popularity .
He'll get popular will he? Tell that to Turnbull and Abbott. Pretty much any time a leader is axed, their successor enjoys a small bump in their ratings before the public realises what's happened and that support disappears.
It's not going to be difficult for Labor on a campaign front. They'll just trot the line that the government is divided, can't govern, too busy fighting themselves etc.
NB: Bill Shorten, once Turnbull is knifed, will become the longest serving leader of a Federal party since John Howard.
Well given Labor’s history I’m not sure how talking about divided governments and in-house fighting would give them any credibility now would it . That’d be a stupid angle . Maybe you should jump on their spin team Super .
Regardless of Labor's history, as far as voters are concerned, that was ancient history. It happened 5 years ago. This will be coalition's third leader in three years. It's current, it's in the news cycle. Labor hasn't had any rumblings of leadership challenges since early 2013.
They will bring it up, but it'll seem like the pot calling the kettle black. Labor's gone through a bit of a churn since then. Many of the major instigators are no longer in parliament, but Bishop, Abbott, Morrison, Dutton etc. will be in parliament at the next election.
The strong, stable coalition Menzies established is dead.
Don't forget Turnbull went to the last election under the banner of "Stable Government".
Anthony Albanese is just biding his time
