I call BS on MSM

How many times have you read in the MSM only 2 of the 12 players Stuart punted have found new clubs?

It is cited as an example of how hopeless Parra is and implies we will be paying 10 first grade salaries to NSW cup players. But is all BS. These experts don't even seem to know that Pat O'Hanlon has been signed with the Bulldogs to go with Matua (Bulldogs) and Blair (Manly).

Let's look at some others. I don't know if the 12 were definitely named but here is most of them.

Maitua, Matt Keating, Ben Smith, Willie Tonga, Ben Roberts, Cheyse Blair, Daniel Harrison, Nathan Smith, Pat O'Hanlon and Matthew Eisenhuth.

I think Ryan and Kelly were maybes.

Help me out here to a/c for the movements of the 12.

Roberts and Keating are off contract: Bye bye. Hasn't Smith announced his retirement? Bye. Willie Tonga for some unknown reason we have re-signed.Which leaves Harrison, Smith and Eisenhuth yet to find new clubs. And Mullaney has gone to Salford freeing up a salary.

Like almost everything written about Parramatta, the 2 out if 12  is BS made to make us look bad.

  • Eisenhuth signed with the panthers
  • Thanks Jelly. So we actually have only Nathan Smith and Harrison still on the books for next year. A slightly different picture than the one the DT likes to paint.

    • I find it weird that the club has said to the likes of Daniel Harrison you are not required in 2014 bye bye. He was signed on pretty fair coin I was told. No other clubs wants him so what does he do? What would you do? I would just turn up at pre-season day 1 and say "im here" what do you want me to do? Go and train with Wentworthville or go home on full pay for the season? The only way they can get rid of him is for him to breach his contract. So if I him with no other club to go to I would make sure I fulfil my obligations and collect my $.

  • Ben smith harrison and Ryan are the players still on contract. Why would u not use a player in your squad if u are going to have to pay for them.Considering how much time off the field kelepi had and the amount of game time Terepo and Paulo had I would bank on them being needed for depth
    • Is Ryan one of the chosen ones?

Also Lasalo and Vai Toutai are off contract, not sure what is happening with them.

  • Yeh exactly, they are just hoping someone else picks them up over the off season. I think we really need to keep Nathan Smith at this stage. If Peats backs out of deal we will be up the creek.

  • The players they said are leaving the club and goodbye to at the presentation on thursday were as follows
    Mulllaney
    Roberts
    Maitua
    Keating
    Ohanlon
    Blair
    Smith
Eisenhuth and taulima toutai already left during the year
i believe they changed their mind re tonga and Ben smith is still under contract, no goodbyes to them
If you count smith and tonga that makes 10 not sure who the lest 2 would be.
