Hypothetical Question

If we were to add a prime Jarryd Hayne and a prime Semi Radradra to our current squad do you think we'd be a premiership threat?

        • The front office didn't screw that, Kieran Foran did. Unless you're talking about the salary cap cheating, in which case, we wouldn't have signed all those players without it.

          • The front office screwed it because they got caught cheating that was the bigger issue.Foran unfortunately his body was at the end of it by the time he got to us and the mental state hurt him also.

            • Foran's body was fine. He played more NRL games after leaving Parra than he did before he got here.

As for getting caught, that's the risk every club takes when they fuck around with 'arms length' TPAs. The alternative is mediocrity.

              • No it wasn't he was used up and he fell off the cliff because of it.Us Dogs GC Warriors I mean he didn't play a full season because of his body.It gave up the ghost bigtime.

          • Pou is right Coryn....Fos was the fcuk up, no one else....maybe BA as he knew him well enough to know he had problems.

            • Foran played 162 NRL games AFTER HE LEFT THE EELS. Add that to the 147 he played in his first stint at Manly and the 9 games he played for us, Foran played over 300 NRL games. Hardly a player with "problems". Most likely is that he got the fuck out of Parra to avoid getting sanctioned for signing dodgy TPAs. His form was pretty good for us.

            • When do you think the last time Foran played a full nrl season Pops without injury ? Vs how many seasons he had and playing those 300 games.Foran I agree had issues off the park but his body was shot when he got to us just having a look back at his manly injury history the writing was on the wall for the mentioned drop off to happen health wise.

              • Coryn, don't miss my point, it wasn't a front office fcukup in the context you said. Yes Foz had injuries.

All the other aspects are fair enough, politely no one has mentioned his mental state at the time, probably an issue that really caused his rejection. Watmough was the one at this time that had an irrecoverable injury, although there was a defence that indicated BA still wanted him for other purposes.....subjectively.

                • What 'irrecoverable injury' did Watmough have when we signed him Poppa? he played Origin plus 20 NRL games the year before coming to Parra. In fact, those 20 games were the ninth straight year he played 20+ games. He even played 17 games for us. Moses hasn't played that many since 2023.

  • No because we are still parramatta and we would fuck it up somehow

"No they'll let him play and use the excuse that Origin matches don't affect NRL matches"

"Saifiti was always going to back-up, he was going to get limited minutes. Though shows what a joke of a selection it was to start with. Haas will be in for him now anyway."

"I think the issue many see is sin bin v send off. Many do not argue against a sin bin it is send off that is the problem. Now the debate is about head clash or shoulder to head. No rapping of the arm and shoulder did contact the head."

"Poor Eels, they probably thought Saifiti and Ponga would miss our game and now they both will back up"
