Can Humpheries from the Bunnues play 6? Looks like a young kid - with plenty of potential and patience. And would come cheap. Plenty of $$ for back rowers and a prop. Thoughts?

I love how people were wanking over us getting a great signing in Hawkins in the offseason , like it was some kind of masterpiece work by our R&R team and Ryles who'd all snuck in and snipered him from Souths. Meanwhile Souths have grabbed this kid from the NRL Facebook Marketplace 😂.
Just fucking shows if you know your shit , you don't have to be the club throwing million dollar contracts at every player you try to recruit.
We should seriously consider Jamal Fogarty for 2026. He's available as his 2026 Raiders year is an option yet to be triggered. A 2 year deal on ok money would get him here. He's a quality NRL half who would do a very professional job at 6 for us. He's also highly experienced which wouldn't hurt either.
Not a bad shout. Fogarty fills the experience vacuum as well. Between Hands, Iongi, and Smith - there ain't 50 NRL games. He's cap friendlier than Galvin or Laui. More cap space to build a mongrel pack-hunting pack.
I'd still go hard for Galvin but he's not available until 2027. Fogarty isn't the long term solution but do we lose much with Brown leaving and Fogarty stepping in? Brown is a better runner but Fogarty is a more polished finisher. To be honest the Knights should have Fogarty partnering Sharpe next year not a running 5/8 to partner another running 5/8
Good point, Mutts. I'm assuming it's 2027 for Luai as well, without certainty of contract specifics & his POs. Wishart is wishful. French, mmm. All in all, for us, Fogarty seems to be the prudent path in the immediate future, imo, pending anyone we aren't seeing. Clears up options for 9 as well. It's an interesting watch.
PS: I hope the Tigers have been watching our PO melodramas. Carefully. Correction, not too carefully. I hope they think it would never happen to them.
I wonder if we did sign Galvin Nov 1 for the 2027 season, if the Tigers would release him early. With the writing on the wall would they put that extra year into him etc. Probably good arguments for both cases.
"I know 1EE is split on the Eels R&R to a degree, but if Ryles wants Keon, and he’s genuinely interested in leaving Souths & not simply forcing the Rabbits into a higher offer, it’s a huge opportunity for our R&R to ensure…"

I don't buy this. They must have saw he was incapacitated and very dazed after the warm up hit. Then not only did he run out and get another concussion 9 minutes later, but he was allowed to enter the feild a third time. The duty of care was…"
"Yes I did mention to hoe why those Rams never got concussions or cte, but I know that their brains are wired differently as they've adapted to those hits by creating seat belts if you will that doesn't allow fir their brains to slam against their…"

I think he just locked himself in as souths 7.
How could he come cheap? The fact he has played well the past two weeks makes him desirablw for a lot of clubs, his price goes up.
You have a point. Anyone sees a good player and thinks we should get him, no matter the contract they already have and job security at current club.

Just throw any name into our team now!
I'm gonna say this now our future halves will be Galvin and Sanders, both will return! :)
