How would you blokes fix international footy ?

Random topic of day, haven't really watched much of the international games that have been on and not much interest in them at all other then avoiding injury to our representatives. How can the nrl make these games mean more ??

        • Joash shows a bit more likelihood of keeping the 6 position. Iongi seems to be also always in a rush that makes commit some errors. He was coming too fast for that ball that should be a try. Hopefully he will learn from those errors.

          • Just one of those days. Hasnt played a footy game in weeks and coming of little preparation. Just a game to forget and move on.

          • I'm not a Joash fan at 6 I'm not BUT and there is a big but,Joash has shown and proven he wants to be here there's no jump off mentality for the better JR has given him an opportunity and he's tried his best to ply his wears in a spot he no doubt is still learning.

This is what I'm a bit disappointed about the fact the rumour mill is in full flow now and we are pushing aside a guy who wants blue n gold for a guy that's using it as a launching pad for somewhere else. That's the thing I dislike the most.Pezet most probably gives us a better chance to win but he doesn't want Parra he doesn't want to be here long term juniors regardless so in my opinion there's no point to this move if culturally we are taking a guy whose jumping to bigger and better and disregarding a guy who wants blue n gold.

  • The refereeing is atrocious.  Not only the RTS non sinbin but in the ruck and forward passes as usual.  1 of worse calls when Samoa were allowed to run from dummy half for 15m and ref did nothing despite ball player moving about 2m beside the marker as defender at marker looked confused why play the ball wasn't bought back.

I would say the pommie ref last night was better.  Even though they removed the green card rule (out of play 2mins for faking injury) players also seemed to adjust which I liked.  Reece Walsh went to try milk a penalty couple of time but got up and played the ball instead

    • Butler is just in the same category of lady Badger

    • Bunker missed 2 sin bins

  • What was everyone expecting from Iongi I mean seriously one half of footy and he looks out of place.

Hes never played at top level at 5/8 the Tongan spine is a new combination they've been together 5 minutes what were you actually expecting I ask. What I'm seeing is basically guys having to find there feet with limited preparation.

Its not like the nrl where they have months of prep with the same people.

This is about what I expected I knew not to expect to much from Iongi and it puts in perspective how hard it is to shift positions on short notice.I mean the heats on Katoa and even he hasn't looked himself.

    • It can take years to make that transition from fullback to 5/8 lol. He does have the size for 5/8 but he's way better at fullback. More space to move and thats his game. Not the passing and vision work that takes years for halves to develop

    • No one on here is criticising him for his performance. One poor performance in a position he hasnt played in years wont make me change my mind after a standout rookie season. Just one of those days where everything you touch you drop or goes to shit.

  • I must say, Paulo has by far been the best player on the park 😂 he looks fit as.
