I was looking at the Titans yesterday and how well their players performed, admittedly against a poor team. What struck me was how many of their players were no names, rejects, journeymen and cheapies. A list of their players falling within the above are Josh Hoffman, Konrad Hurrell, Ash Taylor, Zeb Taia, Chris McQueen, David Shillington, Ignatius Paasi, Tyrone Roberts, Lei Pulu and Nathan Peats. By my count 10 players or almost a whole team.
Their roster allowed them to purchase the best 'journeyman' of all, Hayne, and it only cost them $800k, the other $400k stumped up by Aquis their major sponsor. I also believe they still have money left over for a team now sitting in 8th spot.
It just proves that a good roster can be built if you're willing to take risks on players other teams reject and no names and still have money left over (i.e. no need to rort the cap).

I think in some ways BA has been doing the same thing. If 2016 wasn't the year of the salary cap cheating, the Norman brain snaps and the Foran breakdown, we'd be saying similar things about Parra.
