How To Beat The Panthers??

As we all know the panthers are first in scoring tries they lead  the way in points scored for.. the panthers tries have mainly come from bombing raids or general kicks.. we need to be cautious that reddy, burt, sometimes hayne fumble bombs if walsh is gonna defuse a bomb every time they are in our  half, then our wingers and hayne need to be super cautious.. especially hayne cos coote loves chasing those bombs at the centre of the park he will get there before you get a chance to look up.. they will put bomb after bomb cos thats their main attack we shut the kicks down then all we need to do is continue our good defence then we will have no trouble winning this game..and  another thing we shut jennngs down, cos that prick plays his best against us especially at CUA.. LETS GO PARRA

  • Practice cleaning up kicks in ingoal, catching bombs, and putting pressure on the kickers

They are a one trick team - but a good one!!
  • Our best defence will be to score more points than them.
Do that and we are pretty certain of winning this game.
    • I agree. If we're ahead on the scoreboard at fulltime, we should be in a good position to win this one...:-)
  • 1.pressure the young kickers- will make mistakes
    2. good dummy half running by the backs
    3. instead of crap kicks put bombs up and get our big men against their little men
    4. dominate jenning- keep him quiet and when he gets the ball hit him(where tahu is needed) dont give him space
  • Actaully I think Hayne Reddy and Burt are pretty safe under the high ball... the safest in the club IMO. although Burt missed an easy one last week. It's Inu and Wright I would be worried about.

Penrith play very direct and use their big men to their advatange and speed out of dummy half. I feel we will do a good job down the middle... however I am very concrened with the metres we give up on the edges when Reddy, Mortimer and now Wright defend out wide.... I am not talking tries,,, just metres.... Reddy has been aweful in that department this year.

I would really consider make some changes to the backs.... Maybe Ben Smith back to centre if fit or humble to centre.
    • Benny seems to be playing a bit wider in the last few games YDIDISAYIDO. but mostly in attack.
Maybe DA has spotted that weakness and has given him a bit of a roving commission to try and plug a few holes.

BTW is Ben Smith playing this week?
    • thats gonna be an interesting play off ..GO KRIS..

""Chance is mist" is a really appropriate typo/autocorrect. The chance just goes pfft, evaporates into nothing. Not sure Dylan B has got the mix right this year, more often passing when he should run or running when he should pass. "
