Parramatta Eels believed they were on the verge of signing teenage star Lachlan Galvin after positive talks with his agent during their win over Manly. The club offered a lucrative deal and a clear development path alongside Mitchell Moses. However, less than 48 hours later, Galvin chose the Bulldogs, reportedly influenced by a close relationship with Bulldogs assistant Luke Vella and a long-term plan quietly executed by Bulldogs head of football Phil Gould.
Despite Parramatta’s higher offer (over $800,000 per season vs. Bulldogs' $750,000 in year three), Galvin was swayed by Gould's subtle recruitment approach and admiration for Vella. The Eels, disappointed again after losing Blaze Talagi previously, must now look at other options such as Melbourne’s Jonah Pezet or Roosters' Sandon Smith to partner with Moses.
Galvin is expected to begin training with the Bulldogs soon and may debut against Parramatta on the King’s Birthday holiday.

Best thing we did was lose Blaize and get Longi
I'd think Blaize is more pissed off then anyone that brown left. Perfect spot next to Moses for him with our young spine. Now he's stuck in Penrith with whatever is going on out that way
He wouldn't make our current side, so thats a rediculous statement Eli.
You have hardly covered yourself in glory over this whole thing. Following Merkin's through all his bullshit and tripe and trying to indicate Gould should give away media because he is head of football just compound your naiveity.
I know you mean well but you are being played by a master of media manipulation. Galvin going to the Dogs is no great mystery. he made the choice no one twisted his arm. our blokes had a crack and lost, cannot see what they could do more and if we were successful another group would be telling how dumb we are.
Stop feeling sorry for Parra, we have never beem any different. Doesn't mean that we are hopeless.
Talk about manipulation Wiz on this site was/is building up to this, just watch him attack Mon and Serantinos, he is a very poor man's version of someone like Gould, only 10 grades lower.
Nah MON has done a ripper job. Why would I question your mates job here . It's not as if I said I doubted his ability to get this deal done waaay back when Galvins signiture was merely a formality or anything ....
You don't think they'd give Blaize a crack next to Moses once brown opted out ?? He probably would have taken some time to adjust but wouldn't be a horrible time for him to learn his trade next to Moses??
i would rather sanders to be honest. He is doing well for the raiders
Hey Wiz, when was Galvin's signature merely a formality?
Who do you think your talking to the Village Idiot in Merkin?
On here dopey. On here ..... it was considered a formality .... on here . ffs do I need to mansplain everything to you.
Jesus H Christ
He is not on your team Wizzy (JHC that is ) and you think MON should have signed Galvin when he was in the juniors.....now who is the village idiot again....yes you dopey one LOL
PS Ilike that mansplain thing....sleep over back on?
Galvin played Matt's for us , how many times would you like that Mansplained?
