How good is the NRLs scheduling...

We play a trial against Penrith on the 2nd of March then play them again 2 weeks later in Round 1... yeah well done NRL...For anyone interested Rd1 looks like this...

Thursday 14th March 7:50pm: Storm v Broncos @ AAMI PARK (season opener)

Friday 15th March 6pm: Knights v Sharks @ McDonald Jones Stadium

Friday 15th March 7.50pm: Roosters v Rabbitohs @ SCG

Saturday 16th March 4pm: Warriors v Bulldogs @ Mt Smart Stadium

Saturday 16th March 6pm: Tigers v Sea Eagles @ Campbelltown Stadium

Saturday 16th March 8pm: Cowboys v Dragons @ 1300 Smiles Stadium

Sunday 17th March 4pm: Panthers v Eels @ Panthers Stadium

Sunday 17th March 6.30pm: Titans v Raiders @ Cbus Super Stadium

  • We organize our own trials, not the NRL. They would have had round 1 organized before we announced our trial.
  • So the entire round is basically the same as 2018
  • This happens basically every year, cant see an issue.

  • NRL don't organise trials.

  • Easts v Souths on a Friday night at The SCG should be a good one. At least they got that right. And it's not at 6PM either.
    • I personally think that should be the first game of the season every year

  • 7:50pm & 8pm kick offs are too late. 7:35 kickoff at the latest

  • WTF has the NRL have to do with our trial game against the Panthers?, that is organised by the clubs and they probably already knew they would be playing each other in round 1 if this is actually the draw.
