How do the Eels handle Kenny Edwards

Even if he gets off the charges, he is surely close to violating the behaviour terms of his contract.

I'm sure it may be swept under the rug, but domestic violence in any form shouldn't be tolerated.

One of the things I liked about the Eels was the character of our players.

Guys like Cayless, Hindmarsh, Cronin, Burt, Taylor, Kenny, Sterling, they are a few examples of characters that were good on the field and off.

I hope Kenny gets back to footy and it's all a misunderstanding but I don't think that domestic violence should just be swept under the rug for the sake of performance.

  • He certainly has some issues.

    Kicked out of 2 clubs

This (even though I dont think throwing a drink over someone, if true, deserves an arrest)

One day he's going to have to grow up a bit. But I also love the cheeky nature.

    • I alway said: if Union is played in Heaven, then league must be played in Hell.
  • Nice boys don't play our game.

  • Id just be buying some of these for him to drink out of around the house, if he used lids on his cups this situation would have been avoidable.

    • Maybe he was trying to drink the way Corey did.

  • I think they should wait until the case is heard in court and not jump the gun. It is a serious issue and one which the club should not tolerate, but it seems that there is a lot of truth still to come out, both in this case and the other one.

  • I think there are plenty of nice guys who play rugby league.

I don't think it needs to be a thugs game. There are plenty of intelligent guys who have played the game.

Actors, writers, lawyers, accountants, police officers, teachers.

    • LOL JJ go and watch some union, what sort of fantasy are you living on lol?

Its a tough game played by tough guys, many from struggling areas with difficult family situations, having a few 'thugs/louts etc just goes hand in hand with the game, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

  • Throwing a cup of water or drink over somebody shouldn't end up in the courts wasting money, its a joke and women have been doing this forever to blokes and everybody laughs about it as if its a womans right, im not condoning what he did but before she went to the police she should have just walked away.

What should happen to Edwards?, nothing imo unless theres a lot more to the story.

    • You're right. No one is condoning physical violence but sometimes something needs to be said or done to temper a situation.
For all we know she may have been going off her rocker. I've known plenty of hysterical women that lose it and sometimes drastic measures are required to calm them down.
Watering down dogs works why not on women?
As for physical violence that's different but tossing some grog on an out of control woman - that's no biggie.
