  • Justin Hodges is rumoured to be off to Uk, and Falou's contract was back dated so he was actually on stacks of dosh this year, add the 180000 marque player allowence and Melbourne paying him a small amount (like we did with Finch) , and i beg to differ that their young players are Superstars yet!
  • Don't forget to add Ben Hannent to the roster for next year. Isn't the prodical son returning home? And he would not be cheap.
  • I thought that part of the reason Inglis wanted to go to Brisbane, besides from being near his girlfriend, was to be near his boyfriend Hodges.
  • Thats right the homesick whinger got a release from the Dogs!
  • When have the Broncos - throughout their entire history - been under the cap??

Just a question...Think we all know the answer!

P.S. Doesn't it just warm the cockles to see a superstar player released from one News Limited owned franchise only to be deposited in another News Limited owned franchise! It's good to see the hundreds of thousands of supporters of Murdoch's little play-toys continuously rewarded at the expense of traditional clubs like Parra who spend millions each year on grass roots rugby league within the community!!

Personally, I couldn't be more pleased for the good burgers of Brisbane to be 'donated' yet another premiership courtesy of an administration that is 50% owned by Rupert Murdoch whilst we continue to manufacture juniors for Manly and Cronulla!
  • I can't prove anything, but remember the Broncos '92-'93 and compare their team to the Dragons back than and are you telling me they were under the cap? Unless their players were on reduced salaries cause they wanted to stay together that was blatant cheating....they were an Origin / International team.
  • They buy Inglis and still have money to offer Thaiday a long term contract!

    what a crock of shit
  • Bruno Cullinen said they could,nt possibly afford to pay him any more than there first offer then came up with more. Its called cheating the cap.Inglis is familiar with this type of ploy already.
  • You have to remember that a bit of money comes from third party deals which is not apart of the cap. So you have Broncos paying him say 450K the money that Folau was on, then Storm still have to pay him 200K plus as said on nrl.com he has 20 third party deals to bolster his wages as well. As long as the third parties arent sponsers of the Broncos that is unlimited and not under the cap. Brisbane is pretty much a one team town, hence they can have a lot of third party deals. Its just the way it is.
  • And by the way I am not saying its right or wrong, just syaing this is how it is. Clubs basically have to get out in the market place and attract more outside money sources to secure players.
