I was about to blog something along the lines of Dr J but he beat me to it with an effort better than I could do and with more ideas. But I do want to say a couple of things along the same lines ie How to beat Souths!
(1) I have just learnt today that Crissy Sandow was affected by a family bereavement and an injured ankle when playing against the Warriors. In retrospect he should not have played--it is easier to wise after the event! But he now says he is" sweet to play against Souths". If that is true and he plays a game somewhere near his best we a chance of being at least half-way competitive against Souths.
(2) Greg Inglis is not a good positional fullback in defence. More often than not he does not get to those who score tries against Souths ,because he is out of position. This characteristic of his play opens a window of opportunity to exploit. I must say that when GI is in position, which he sometimes is, he is an excellent defender but when he is not he is slow to get to try scorers. The go is to get GI moving away from Reddy`s wing, chasing the Eels ball movement,. and then bomb Reddy, even before the last tackle, GI can`t make it over there in time so there is a chance of a try or of the ball taken dead by Souths--another set for Eels. Also Gi is susceptible to the ball put in goal along the ground if he has to chase it for some distance. He is a tall bloke who has a distance to get down to the ball. These are very small windows of opportunity but better than none.
If I could sign GI for FB I would take him "warts and all".

Dj I never suggested that at all! You had better read over my piece again. In fact I consider I am the only league fan in Australia who has detected that flaw in GI`s game. I only had one argument, re Gi, so how in .... can it be inconsistent?
Eggman I have just seen your piece after I have replied to DrJ. what I said was virtually what yousaid but you put better than me. thanks for that.
Nah fark that, No matta HOW GOOD he is, I'm not taking no warts.
